Yep I know I am in the minority on this board and I am not going to say anything bad about the film anymore. Not here in this thread anyways

But I do think the PF is pretty Kick A$$ and I congratulate all of you 89 Batfans for getting what looks like to be the definitive Keaton Batman. The base is Killer!!!!

I for one really appreciate that man. I never understand when folks come into a thread like this seemingly with an axe to grind against the subject matter... Like it is their mission to convince anyone that likes it that they are wrong for doing so and the alternative is a better film/product/show/whatever. I personally don't like the Nolan films... but I don't head over into those threads just to tell everybody what I don't like about them. That would just seem silly to me. They like it... Good for them. Who am I to dog something they like?

It seems that nowadays, with the exception of variants such as White Storm or Crimson Baroness, there is no set edition size for at least a month or two. When the edition size does get posted, it would be a good idea to PO it as soon as you can if you really want it.

The only drawback about ordering from Sideshow when you live in the UK or Europe, is the customs and import charges that they rape you with when it arrives in the country.

When I ordered the Alien Warrior Maquette, the British Goivernment charged me another £120 just to have my item delivered. I was traumatised.

They don't do that, considering it's illegal and could cause problems for the company. Oh, and you guys in UK or countries part of the EU are lucky collecting-wise -- I pay tax on every single item, doesn't matter where it comes from and there's no retailer for statues in my country.

Sometimes if I'm ordering from other US-based collectibles sites or eBay I can negotiate that they declare it at a lower value. There is a risk that, if the item is damaged during delivery, you are only insured for the value that the item is declared at. So I could pay £400 for an item, declare it as £100 to save customs charges, but then open up a damaged product and only get £100 returned. £300 thrown away for nothing.

Yeah I've done that many times. Even if something gets damaged one day, I've saved more than I'd lose that one time. But a little risky of course.

When I used to live in South America I had the same problem. It's really hard to be a collector when fees are that atrocious.

I really dislike the movie now (LOVED it as a kid though), but I still need this statue sooooooooo bad! Thats how awesome it is! For me, it is even leaps and bounds better than the comic Batman PF. I LOVE the base and the pose, simply because it isn't Batman posing like some hipster. Its just him, going down to the car to get out to Gotham to BASH. HEADS. IN. I love that! No "oh look at how scary I am on my gargoyle looking tough", just Batman, going about his business.

So a dio based on this would have been even better, right?

£120 Jeez, the most I've been charged was £55 and I thought that was bad.

Thankfully that's the highest a charge has even been for me and it only happened once. When they guy at the depot told me I genuinely thought he was joking, I said to him; "Haha funny guy! Oh my god can you imagine if it WAS that much?"... to which he said; "Um, it's £120... please..."
