I think Sideshow only put their products up for order once they have been fully manufactured and passed Quality Control. Sometimes the wait is an absolute killer.

Imagine, Sideshow releases a teaser image of a new product in January 2014, a production video in February 2014, puts it up for order in March 2014, and it's in your hands by May 2014... laaavly...

The product itself may have been in the works since December 2012/January 2013, but we wouldn't give a damn because we don't know about it...

So wait...now that there's a picture of Keaton turning his head from the film the arguement has shifted to "this particular pose" is not a scene from the film so it's not iconic enough? So besides the line launcher scene which scene is really an iconic one for you guys? Mind you he has to be alone because any thing else would raise the price of this to include an extra figure. If I remember correctly it's him standing around flat footed quite a bit, not exactly iconic. If you guys want to pay $400 for him standing on a bat oval flat footed, arms at his sides I'm sure you can find a nice boring alternative.

I am thinking about getting this statue directly from Sideshow (which would be the first time, since I used to get the regs from local shops in europe), but would have to get a credit card first, since I never needed one before. I would be royally bummed out if I went through all that trouble, only to be to late to get the ex.

Can I preorder the regular version via Sideshow too? I am not one of the "EX OR FAIL" crowd, I would just like to get my next PF earlier than when I get it later here in europe. I hate to wait up to 3 extra months.

If you really want to do something like that, granted I'm not sure how this works in europe, I'd get a prepaid card to cover the nrd, order your credit or debit card and change the card info before the payment is due if you do flex or before it ships

Yeah, but even getting a prepaid card will take days. I dunno how it is over the pond, but here I have to get a prepaid card at a bank and they will order one for me. I am thinking about doing that, but if the PF is completely sold out when I finally get the card I will flip out

Don't flip out too hard, usually even if an item sells out if you get on the waitlist in the first couple of days you can get an EX pretty easily.

Lol. This thread used to be fun. Thank you for everyone that's still trying to make it about an awesome piece and not complaining/debating/arguing about what is and isn't dogma lol. Also to the guys in here that dont like statues, gtfo man, wrong thread. Anyways awesome movie, big impact on all our lives I'm sure in some way or another. I was 6 when it came out, love the movie. Would really love to see a Michelle Pfeifer Catwoman. Happy collecting

I really dislike the movie now (LOVED it as a kid though), but I still need this statue sooooooooo bad! Thats how awesome it is! For me, it is even leaps and bounds better than the comic Batman PF. I LOVE the base and the pose, simply because it isn't Batman posing like some hipster. Its just him, going down to the car to get out to Gotham to BASH. HEADS. IN. I love that! No "oh look at how scary I am on my gargoyle looking tough", just Batman, going about his business.
