The way this headsculpt turned out id rather sideshow just stick to comic based depictions. I dont think its their fault i guess polystone just cant capture the likeness that resin or plastic could.

His boots in the movie were modified nike sneakers. I forget what kind. I dont think you see the swoosh logo in the movie though.

That sculpt without the paint is hands down the best likeness of Keaton out of all of the formats - HT/NECA.

The only thing is either that's a different one from the production pictures or they have painted it in such a way that it destorys the likeness. I really really love this statue but I can totally see where the people saying "it's not Keaton" are coming from because it's not.

If they do replace it with that unpainted version then it's spot on.

yep, don't get it, shouldn't be that drastic of a difference, especially on the proto. As is, painted, I don't see Keaton

This looks pretty damn cool. I like it just as much as the comic PF...more so as it's still growing on me the more I view the pics. SS better not cut corners on this one. The last thing I want is Cuban Keaton and a screen printed chest logo. The only thing I really foresee them screwing up are the eyes. Read and heed SS...don't screw it up.

It's probably been explained already but what is the reasoning for the Nike on the boots?

It was for product placement. Nike wanted "in" on the movie, and the money agreement they came up with, they asked WB "can they have some of their Nike sports gear in the film"...the producers were going for an Art Deco look for the film, so having 1980s sports gear wasnt what they wanted. But they came up with the idea of using the base of the boots as the Nikes. You can see the swoosh on the real boots, just cant recall if you see it in the film.

Looking at that banner again, it seems the image Dave used is a portrait shot that Sideshow didn't even use on their product page. I can't find the banner image to the left anywhere on their site. I know it's the same, but it actually looks better and more like Keaton/Batman to me. Odd.

Lighting is everything.

I think its because the picture is in the banner is stretched , or is it the picture from sideshow is squashed?

Someone with photo shop skills could try having a bash at removing the red lips and lightening up the face. I've got a feeling the pictures could just be a combination of the usual bad lighting and the colours. The red paint seems to thin his lips, taking away from the Keaton "pout". It could well be the same sculpt with just the usual crap photo's.

Strange they didn't offer a close up shot considering it's actually supposed to be a real person.

I tried my hand at it. Made a few adjustments to these pics.

The original is on the left, my tweaks/changes are on the right,

The head that this Premium Format is sporting. The other day on the Statueforum I guess the sculptor saw the activity and stir the preview pics were causing and sent a mod that photo of his current in progress sculpt,

My confusion is that there doesn't appear to be a Bruce Wayne head with this.

Did he actually sculpt Bruce Wayne first and then sculpt a cowl over it? If so, maybe that's why the cowl has that helmet look.

I mean, look at how low profile the actual cowl looked compared to the figure. It's thin rubber that hardly stands off the face at all.

But this looks like the cowl is a full inch thick around his face (if it were 1:1).
