My confusion is that there doesn't appear to be a Bruce Wayne head with this.

Did he actually sculpt Bruce Wayne first and then sculpt a cowl over it? If so, maybe that's why the cowl has that helmet look.

I believe the headsculpt is inside the cowl, just like the NECA version.

Unless that's a Bruce Wayne head they sculpted for this release that got scrapped, or a possible Batman Returns version. I can't say for sure, but it looks identical to the one inside the cowl though.

I mean, look at how low profile the actual cowl looked compared to the figure. It's thin rubber that hardly stands off the face at all.

True, but it depends though. These look pretty damn thick,

The Hot Toys and NECA don't look like those, hell some of them don't look like each other with the different angles and lighting.

*waits the SS sheep to somehow defend what we are getting* Just those small tweaks and it looks better. Why don't they make a proto, showcase it, ask for feedback, adjust it accordingly and bam, great success. Obviously the guys making the decisions need a DiFabio on their team. Oh well. I need to just learn to let go.....

The statue has no rubber on it, it's a statue painted black. At least that's the impression I got.

I thought since is a PF that usually indicates that the clothing is actually material and not sculpted, otherwise wouldn't tehy have just called this a polystone statue and not a PF?

I know for some PFs they do a combination of both like Captain America First Avenge PF had sculpted clothes on torso but the pants were cloth.

That's a loose definition. Some PF's have very little or no clothing. The cape makes up the clothing part. I'd imagine a 1/4 scale rubber suit would not only be expensive, but tough to put on.

Looks better but not quite there. The head straight up is a def improvement.

But this looks like the cowl is a full inch thick around his face (if it were 1:1).

It depends on when in the movie you're talking about and the shadows on the face. Obviously the cowl evolved or they had different cowls for different situations.

I thought it was the Batcave to but I read the description on sideshow, the stairs are the church stairs from the End scene of the movie.
