Regarding AoU I see that it did pass Frozen's global take and IM3 and is #5 all time. Not too shabby. The original Avengers is the only cbm ahead of it.

Depending on how well TFA performs 2015 might give us three movies to break the top 10 all time.

Nope, Jurassic Park was #1 worldwide until Titanic. It made over $900 mill, compared to SW's $775 mill.

Global earnings weren't that big a deal in the 90's. Jurassic Park was behind E.T. domestically until the Special Edition of Star Wars put it ahead of both (hence the ad with E.T. crowning R2.) Once Titanic hit a billion worldwide then everyone went gaga about global totals and that's how it's been ever since.
