I always forget that the two of them were actually in a movie together. So weird. Wonder what that would have been like if Warner Bros. actually did that in the early 90s.

Supes would win pretty easily.

Just sneak up behind bats and tap him on the shoulder and hide behind his back during the bat-turn. Then repeat over and over until Batman goes insane and dies. Roll credits.

Those two designs actually work great together! Would have been very cool, but timing made it impossible, Reeves was already too old by the time bats had his run right?

Superman 4 only came out a couple years before '89 Batman. But, I think Reeve was sick of doing Superman, and that version of the character's reputation had been tarnished by then.

Nope, he died in 1959.

It's kinda odd because Affleck played him in "Hollywoodland" and now he's Batman.
Still dunno how I feel about it...

Imagine a George Reeve vs. Atom West vs. Christopher Reeves vs. Michael Kreaton vs. Brandon Ruth vs. Christan Beil vs. Henry Cavil vs. Ben Aflack DC multiverse movie. It'd be epic!

On a related note, there is a documentary on Netflix about Canon films that spends some time on Superman 4, as well as Over the Top--two movies that were essentially the nails in Canon's coffin. It's an entertaining, sometimes hilarious documentary. Basically the story of two Israelis making movies that they think speak to American audiences.

If only Donner and the Salkinds didn't get into. Superman II could have been so much better if it went the way as it was originally intended. It just seemed like a domino effect after the problems between the original and II with each one getting worse.

I'll never forget the confusion quickly turning to horror in the theater watching Superman 4 when I saw their logo followed by the black curtain backdrop moving during the moon scene. :thud:

Then again Superman 3 was nothing to write home about either.

Whatever, my brother had a part in Invasion USA! :yess:
