edit- You're right...he does kick the little toy car :rotfl

Supes takeoff should have knocked Bats on his ass.

You cared enough to post a comment saying you couldn't see it. Still, regardless of whether you care or not...or whether you can see it or...not, he does kick the car, but hypothetically speaking, even if he didn't, the fact that he didn't stopped the car and just let's it hit him and then bounce off of him and crash, shows the difference between Snyderman and the old school Superman, which shows that Snyder didn't learn anything from the first film.

That's one of the things critics and some fans criticized...that Sups just didn't care, and in that one little clip from a tv spot, it shows that the character has not changed at all. I don't have a problem with it, but those who did have a problem with Superman being careless and a jerk in the first film better not give it a pass this time just because Batman is in it. That's all I'm saying.

I just want some concistancy from the haters...it's all I ask. :lol

How am I hating? Just because I don't see what you and others are seeing doesn't mean I'm hating.

I dare you to find a post in this thread showing that I'm hating anything about this movie.

I'll wait. :lol

No not you specifically, just haters in general...or Jye :lol I don't want them giving this film a pass if it has the same "flaws" from the previous film. I hate that...just like a lot of critics gave TFA a pass despite the obvious flaws, yet they don't do that with other similar films. I hate inconsistencies. :)

I loved the teaser trailer and trailer one. I was hyped. The only thing I thought was weird was the "red capes are coming" weirdness.

Then the last trailer popped up and these TV spots and I don't know. It seems really silly to me, like Dark Knight Rises. It's like Bane and Bale Batman, I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be looking at this confrontation between Batman and Superman in a serious way, but it just seems so goofy. Back for the first trailer when I heard "do you bleed, you will", and Superman ripping off the top hatch it felt right, like cool you know? Batman going up against Superman, Batman sounding intimidating. I heard they cast Affleck as Wayne because he was bigger than Cavil and more imposing. Then this latest TV spot just kills that tone. Batman looks all uncomfortable, short and squat like he's going to **** his pants in Superman's presence. For me, that's easily the worst Affleck has looked as Batman to date, and I love this suit and everything about Bruce Wayne so far.

The weird thing is, the Watchmen and Man of Steel trailers were magnificent and packed a punch. I don't see how that isn't coming through for me with Batman and Superman in the past month or so. I want to like it, but I just can't.

Still, there are three saving graces to this movie that I think will work for me. The nightmare sequence, the confrontation between armored Batman and Superman (I've seen pieces of this scene that haven't been shown to the public and it has a lot of weight to it) and then a Batman centric moment towards the end of the movie. I really hope those don't disappoint in their entirety.

I've seen some reviewers and magazine editors already hating on the film when the teaser trailer was released...criticizing the armor design and the idea of Superman fighting Batman because Sups would never do that...again with the Reeve comparison.

Video game critics did the same thing with the Injustice video game. It was really hard for them to accept that Superman would fight other DC characters, yet for some reason it's perfectly acceptable for friends in the Street Fighter games launch fireballs and explosives at each other and survive. Anytime Injustice was mentioned, the game was bashed for that. It's bizarre to me. For some reason a lot of people complain that Superman is written with the character depth of someone like an all powerful Clifford the Big Red Dog or Barney the Dinosaur, yet complain when writers veer from that. I'm not saying that was the complaint for Man of Steel though.

As long as they do a good job developing the characters that act like people—not clowns that undercut drama with cheesy quips—I will like this movie a lot. If I ever do watch movie trailers, I only watch them once and move on, but I keep watching these trailers over and over. If Snyder does long battle sequences, the fight will be interesting since Superman has to use his intellect to subdue Batman since he can't much of his strength without killing him, and Batman will be able to go all out, which will allow for a lot of creativity.

It's really cool to have Batman V Superman and Civil War coming out in the same year since I think they'll do a good job complimenting each other in regards to discussing different superhero ideologies and restraining one's hubris. I'm glad there's superhero movies coming out this year for those like me that are burnt out by origin stories. I really like Batman Begins, Iron Man, The First Avenger, and the Magneto bits of First Class, but I'm good now.

Yup that tv spot makes it all look goofy as if a serious fight is out of the question for whatever image marketing reasons.
