Dude, that's cool. I'm not trying to win any converts. There are so many movies that are so damn good (ANH and ESB being but two of them) that if any given person said "Oh I like such and such way better than TFA" all I could say was "well okay! Excellent choices! I disagree but damn fine choices nonetheless." Hell I've already gone on record as saying if I were to pick a "Best Picture" of 2015 I'd probably give the award to Ex Machina.

You'll never find a post of Clown Prince's or DiFabio's where they're going off about a film they love that I have responded to with a "oh for ****'s sake give me a break!" That's their thing.

I think I've reached Riddick level of Nirvana, I've stopped caring whether people hate or praise a certain something, I in fact enjoy reading opposite sides and I almost never feel compelled to counter an opinion in basis of pure disagreement, in fact, I think the only thing that bothers me is people complaining about the complaints

Which is good because this thread will become a warzone.

I grew up with Batman 89 and the nostalgia alone makes it one of my favorite films because I have a certain childhood connection with it, but that never blinded me, and I have no problem saying that Batman Begins is the best Batman film about Batman that's been made so far, even better than TDK, IMO. Some here will disagree....and they'll give reasons, some which might be valid and true.

Sweet, here's our "get the thread back on topic" moment (at least with regard to Batman) that we can both use as a jumping off point from the Star Wars stuff and maybe do it with a little, just a little, mutual respect. I totally agree about Batman Begins. Not only the single best Batman film ever made but truly one of the greatest superhero films of all time.

I totally agree about Batman Begins. Not only the single best Batman film ever made but truly one of the greatest superhero films of all time.

I personally don't think Khev's unabashed love for Force Awakens is real. It's hype exploitation, it's a meme, it's an overreaction if you will. I wouldn't call it trolling because, unfortunately, I think he actually believes that he loves it. If we met in person, he would not dare say that it's better than the original Star Wars to my face. In fact, he would be extremely uncomfortable to even utter a word about any of it in my presence. As soon as he would begin to mouth the words "Force Awakens" my piercing, fiery eyes would yield caution and he wouldn't pursue the subject any further. There would be no talk of mediocre soundtracks (not even Rey Rey's theme) or Force Awakens soliloquies about how great Kylo Ren is or the forced similarities to ALIENS as a sequel. For the first time in his life he would know shame.

Give me back the old Khev, the Khev before the Disney probings. The Khev with the Captain America avatar, my friend.

I have to agree that the level of hype TFA is getting is akin to that the PT received initially, it's vapor, but TFA deserves it more, regardless, it will not last...

But that's just in general, not exclusive to TFA.

I don't think ANH or any of the SW movies are 'great' movies. Not on the level of ones like 2001 and The Godfather. The fandom of SW is what's great. Just look at the box office of TFA. Avatar will still be worldwide box office king, but no body talks about that movie anymore except when referencing its box office.

That's true, I did love that Suicide Squad video where the stuntman in the Batsuit is chilling on the lambo and he turns his head without any visible folds or seams.

It just looks like every new shot of Affleck in the suit, he's just standing there looking around. I know we're going to be seeing an action sequence where Batman diffuses a situation Arkham video game style with flowing movement, but so far we've just seen him with his arms at his side.

We also got to see him hold a newspaper.
