My one sole purpose during the TDKR wars was to just get General DiFabio and General intothevoid to engage each other in mortal kombat.

Add in the other numerous grunts that had drawn their own lines in the sand throwing down their own gauntlets and the stuff of legends was born.

I would make myself a nice hot cup of jye and be amazed at the incredible words that would come out of both, especially DiFabio.

Being a grunt myself that had chosen a side I would throw in my lolcats just to mix things up because even the brightest of wars require additional fuel to keep the battles burning bright.

There of course have been other great battles since then, but I will always cherish that one in particular. :lol

What makes this forum great is that it's populated by some very intelligent, very mature, immature, very passionate and more importantly very funny individuals.

I love it ALL, including WWWWWEEEEEEEJEDI, his contributions are just as important as everyone elses.

We all have our places here, our clicks (**** the spelling), our likes and dislikes, it keeps it interesting and fun to visit over and over.

I get up every day looking forward to reading opinions from not only DiFabio, but also the highly skilled posts made by kara, khev, a-dev, Clown, Gaspar, p-turtle, Evilface, Snoopy, batfan, Ween, Yankee, Rorywan, Riddick, Kamandi, pixletwin, Wor-gar, Spartan, Yonose, Platty, Godzillaspawn, Maulfan, Biojex, Uncanny Nova, ironwez, crows and the list of names can just go on forever........way too many names to give proper credit for.....just the amount of "darth's" would take up an entire page! :lol

It's very rewarding having your own opinions challenged on a daily basis, the growth it provides allows you to create new opinions or it just reenforces what you already believed, either way you still expanded your mind while also being entertained in the process.

I think. :lol

From movies to collectibles, this forum is the ONLY forum I need in my very busy life.

May the battles continue!

Repped.. really.
:rock

(Edit: not really, you must spread some... blah blah.... :(.....)

Sorry boys but khev has final say on this matter.

Which one will it be khev?

Choose wisely.

The answer to that is obvious but I'll give a pass to anyone who chooses one of these as the best genre film of 2015:

Ex Machina
Fury Road
The Force Awakens
Creed

Hopefully I'll be catching Sicario, The Revenant, and The Big Short this week so who knows how my "Best of" list will change once I start getting caught up on more of the top rated films. I would have liked to have caught The Hateful 8 but I refuse to pay money for a lesser version of the movie just because Tarantino wants to penalize movie goers who don't live by an auditorium showing the Roadshow version.

just watch Bone Tomahawk until Hateful 8 hits home video.

I just might. I'm catching Spotlight tonight, The Big Short tomorrow. Waiting for Sicario to hit a local second run theater so I can see it first on the big screen instead of blu-ray.

I'm glad that Sly's GG win prompted me to see Creed last week. As of this week it's now gone from theaters in my area.

I got sent screener dvds of every ****ing film except TFA. Spotlight is v.good, Revenant is good, hateful 8 is good... Sicario left me a bit cold...Force Awakens is great, going 4th time on thursday. For a *popcorn* movie it has so much heart and joy that most of the serious high brow films just can't compare with, for me anyway.. :lol

Yep, The Force Awakens is like Rey herself. It uses heart and raw visceral power to triumph over the more "skilled" competition. Fury Road is great but ultimately pretty one note and shallow. Imagine if in the original Mad Max that Toecutter killed his family in the opening scene and then the rest of the film was 90 minutes of Max chasing him down the highway.

Everyone on that cover had something to like about their take. Even Clooney....

Is Batman Forever worth checking out? A lot of people say Val Kilmer's Bruce Wayne was great so I'm interested to see that.

I'd actually like George Clooney to play an old Batman. Heck, I wouldn't have minded that he was our current Batman. Not that I'm hating on Ben Affleck. I'm hoping he does a good job.

I thought Fury Road was a much better film, but TFA got almost everyone in the US singing "Fahoo Fores Dahoo Dores" all Whoville like for a day, so it was a more enjoyable experience.

Or Good Bad Ugly, For Few Dollars More and Once Upon Time West. :tap

Watch it once and you'll never go back to it again. :lol

At least B&R had massive lolz!

For awhile Batman Forever was my favorite Batman movie. But after TDK it became increasingly hard to watch. I'll still defend it against the Burton films.
People focus so much on the neon lights and nipples in that film that they ignore the stuff that was pulled straight from the comics. The Dark Knight Returns related flashbacks and Jim Carey's performance sold the movie for me.

Forever is a stark contrast to Burton. If you like the 60's Batman show, you will like Forever. I enjoy it. Kilmer is my favorite of those first four flicks. O'Donnell played a good Robin. TLJ's Two-Face was so over the top, but had the conflicting halves which is nice. Carey was fun as he Riddler.
