I know I won't see this in theaters because it's still Zack Snyder. The only film of his that I can definitively say I enjoyed was Dawn of the Dead. Easily my favorite zombie movie.

Everything else he has done has completely disappointed me. Part of it is my own fault because I absolutely loved the trailers for 300, Watchmen, and Man of Steel. My hopes weren't sky high, but they were high. I admit it.

This movie is a completely different situation. Each trailer has made me either roll my eyes or shake my head. I've grown up loving these characters my whole life. I'm not some Marvel fanboy hating on DC. JLU is one of my favorite tv shows of all time and BTAS is right up there with it. Hell, throw Batman Beyond in there too. I have stacks of comics from when I used to collect back in the day. Both Marvel and DC and indy comics as well. I've read The Dark Knight Returns at least 4 times man. I really would love to be excited for this film but knowing Snyder is at the helm and the watching laughable adverts is just ruining it for me.

And what's really disturbing is that they delayed the release of the film for almost a year, then changed the date again to avoid competing with Marvel in the same weekend. Not good signs.

you hate it,
bye then :wave

Well, speaking for myself, I don't like things that look like crap. I think this looks like crap. Ergo I don't like it.

Woooord.

If you want a thread to yourselves where only positive comments can be made than you should try that. But saying that members who have different opinions than your own are looking for attention only reflects badly on you? I didn't see anyone being disrespectful to anyone in here until your post. Have a little think about that.

No, but don't you think it's getting a little... Redundant.

Okay, we've understood. We're not very bright I know, but I guess you guys have made your point. You don't like the movie... Now can't you go and troll anywhere else? There are plenty of bad movies soon to be released. I'm sure they could all benefit from your expertise!

Never seen such hatred for a yet unreleased movie. You say you hate it, point taken, move on! Or are you stuck in time maybe to make this thread your own Groundhog Day?

Nothing personal here, just fed up of coming to this thread to read some news and just hear the same guys over and over again saying the same stuf, over and over again!

To play devil's advocate, they only have something negative to say when there's something new to talk about, like a trailer, tv spot, or marketing material. Although it's clear they have made up their minds to dislike the film because they did not enjoy MOS or other Snyder films, there is still a chance that they can like a new trailer or poster, so their negative opinion is still valid. However, once they see the film and hate it, there's no reason for them to come to this thread constantly because there will be nothing new for them to have an "opinion" on or to respond to, since they have already seen the movie. Until then, their negative opinion isn't out of place, imo.

You must be new here? Or new to the movie section? Many threads are littered with Star Wars v Prequels v Civil War v Suicide Squad v my movie is great and yours sucks BS...

Threads are being cleaned on a daily basis. It's getting very boring.

I wasn't even directing it at you.

this is playing EXACTLY the same as the Ultron threads did..... holy crap :lol feels like Dejavu....

the only difference is that some of the people hating on this movie non stop were some of the same people telling others to f k off for being negative against Ultron....

I guess Marvel zombies are coming here to crap on DC whether the movie looks bad or not :lol

Are you saying that Marvel is to blame for everything? :lol

This section isn't the place to have stimulating discussions about movies with people that have respectable opinions if you aren't into garbage spewed by pontificating attention whores. There's no one group of "fanboys" that is guilty, every movie gets ripped to shreds by fans of opposing franchises or just the trolls who rip on everything.

BvS is next but then the people complaining about "BvS haters" will be doing the hating when Civil War comes out, then X-Men will be ripped on, then Suicide Squad, Rogue One, etc. Best bet if you want to expunge the chaff is just to use your Ignore List and do not respond to the trolling or baiting posts when you do come across them.

Too many armchair critics and YouTube reaction reviewers these days. It would be cool to go back in time and experience the world of film before social media and fanboys discovered the internet.

They don't do this though. I said before, once BvS or SS is out, I will talk about how bad they are and move on. A good chunk of people can't do this.

I also like how the same people getting mad at "trolling" about something being bad are the ones who do it the most against other franchises. Yet there behavior is fine.

No you wont. Just like how you endlessly defend the PT instead of moving on. No one ever does.

We are all too addicted to this stuff to just move on.

My last comment about the PT was saying what I didn't like. Plus if you look in the PT thread the last few weeks I didn't even defend it.

That would be Disney. Seriously. I could go on a Fox Mulder type rant laying out how Disney is hurting collectors, but I'm too tired.

Just got to watch the special that was on CW last week. Can Kevin Smith try not to be high 30 minutes. WTF is he stressed about?

Anyway, no real gripes about the movie universe stuff, except for the Flash. Just don't get why you would basically do the same exact version as the CW character with a different actor. Mother killed when he was a child, father goes to jail, becomes forensic scientist and gets struck by lightning. Did I miss anything? Wally West would have been just fine.

One scene that they showed near the end with Batman fighting looked amazing, even if it was only a few seconds.

Also, I guess I've never heard Robbie speak in her native tongue before because what I heard completely surprised me. She's got very pretty voice.

And last, if I were around here when AoU was about to premier then I would have been accused of being a DC fanboy because it didn't look great from the advertising and I decided to skip it.

I'm surprised that Disney hasn't made an enquiry to buy the DC movie rights yet. :lol
