Unfortunately, I think they've misused Cavill. It almost feels to me like they found a great looking candidate, & squandered his contribution so far. Bringing Affleck in has that scent of "it's time for the cavalry" & I get a sense that they're both merely transitory actors (like Leto & Eiceberg) to Gal's rise in the DCCU.

Or maybe not.
