I have to agree, TFA almost put me to sleep, this (which I'm sure I'll probably hate it in a year when I re watch it) kept me engaged at least for almost 3 hours, even with all the problems.

Really? I thoroughly enjoyed TFA.

Hated BvS though.

B for Bad-Ass! I scrolled through recent Cinemascore ratings, and audiences are pretty damn generous most of the time. But of movies over the last few months, some of the worst ratings are for the Coen Brothers (Hail, Caesar), and the highly critically acclaimed the Witch. Both scored worse than BVS, Gods of Egypt, London Has Fallen, and Dirty Grandpa.

It's not for kids like Marvel. . .Batfleck was good, though.

:lol:lol

Pretty much. This is waaay better than "Da Farce Awakens".
Heck, "Da Farce Awakens" has 92% on RT which is enough evidence. :lol

And I liked both.

People simply have varying opinions and sensibilities.

Amazing how that works, eh.

:huh

Never said it was a problem if they did homes. Just hadn't heard that one that often. Found it surprising is all.

Woah. I just saw your review pturtle. I'm glad you liked it so much! I hoped you would, but I was not expecting it!

I'm surprised that you liked this Gaspar being that Superman is your guy. I thought he was completely thrown under the bus. You're not the only one. I checked to see what other big Superman fans thought who hated Man of Steel, and they liked this entry. I thought Henry Cavill's acting was really bad, especially in the "Be there hero, Clark" scene. I thought Superman fans would be so upset how they
killed major Superman characters and how he was constantly hated for certain things that any rational person couldn't blame him for (I hated how Bruce was so ruthless in trying to kill him), and then he was hit with a nuke, and then killed.
From what I've seen, most people either liked or really liked this movie. When Age of Ultron, Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, and Iron Man 3 came out, people were constantly ripping on them as abominations. I haven't seen that with BvS. I never looked or listened to reviews before watching the film, and loathed it as an incoherent mess and I disliked all the characters, except for Wonder Woman.

I haven't read any critic reviews, and I'm actually shocked the Rotten Tomato score was so low because I thought they would have liked the artsy opening, but I looked at fan reviews, and they've been pretty darn positive. I almost burst out laughing at how ridiculous the stuff was with the pearls and the dream sequence, and I had to bite my tongue at a lot of the Superman and Lex Luthor scenes because I didn't want to be laughing at a film out of respect for the people enjoying the movie (there were a lot of kids in my theater, so I would have been a monster if I did that!). I'm shocked that super fans like this Batman. Then again, I didn't like Keaton Batman. I thought he was a pathetic jerk. Nothing against Ben Affleck though! He could be the best Batman; it's just I didn't like the writing.

This is the first movie that I ever had such a negative response to. Even with Spider-man 3, I still had a good time just being in the theater and I enjoyed a lot from it. I didn't like anything in BvS. Out of context, I think the fight choreography might have been incredible in certain scenes, but since I didn't like the character, I just didn't care. Even though I thought the Amazing Spider-man 2 was a mess, I still thought the chemistry was great with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, and I was excited for a third movie. After seeing BvS, I never wanting to watch anything else from these characters.

I'm not trying to be a hater by any means, and I keep reading everyone's comments because I'm trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with me. I loved the Dark Knight Rises and Iron Man 3, despite their problems, and I know a lot of folks hate them here, so I guess I have to accept I'm a total oddball on this one. Even though, I wasn't fond of the Avengers because of the humor and character choices, I still thought it was a good movie, and I understand why so many thought it was amazing. I still liked the Captain America and Iron Man scenes in that movie, and I thought there was a lot of interesting action sequences. Plus, I thought the adoption joke was funny! Based on everyone's hatred of Man of Steel and these trailers, I feel like I'm in Bizarro World! And I'm a guy that really liked the second Batman V Superman trailer!

I'm not sure if I think it's a good movie or not, but I thought it was entertaining for sure. I'm also not a fan of either of these characters so any liberties taken by Snyder and company doesn't both me at all.

To be honest, I don't even know what was going on in the movie :lol I just liked the action and the look of the movie. It had a lot of cool scenes, the whole Flash vision warning thing and end of the world Batman scene was pretty trippy :lol

I also thought all the actors did a great job, I loved Perry White in this film. I probably need to watch this again before I can give it a proper rating but at the very least, it was a great theater experience.

Wouldn't have guessed that. :lol Though was it really hated when it was first released, or did that start to sink it after it was a box office dud?
Seems like geeks didn't like it from the get-go, but I'm not sure if that translated to general audiences or not. I didn't bother seeing it at the theater at all, and I am a pretty big fan of the character and comic. Like a lot of WB DC stuff over the years, it just seemed off to me from the commercials alone.

The soundtrack is generic but works well in the film.
Batman cues are pretty awesome TBH, and the title music is great.

I'd adore this film if I was still just a six years old kid.

Different strokes :lol

TFA is technically a better movie I guess, but I just couldn't get into it all. BvS I went in know everything and I still had fun with it. It just had a lot of cool scenes in my opinion.

I suspect it is a reliable assessment of audience opinions, for what that's worth.

It does seem to vary wildly from Audience Scores on RT and IMDB at times, though. But I suppose the later two are obviously from folks on the internet and now Joe Schmoes walking out of theaters.
