To be fair, Bob Kane was the artist and he took Finger's suggestions, but Kane made the final decision and let's not ignore that Batman's design by Finger was a rip off of Black Bat. So, everyone was stealing back then

I don't know. I think we can excuse that behavior from a guy touched by the Hand of God to create Batman as an inspiration for children to pursue Christianity worldwide.
