Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Hate to say it, but bust size is one of the things that factors into the peak female standards in comic books and WW. They wouldn't have designed her golden crest the way they did if it was meant to fit on an A-cup.
I can't argue with that, but that doesn't make it not a petty complaint, in fact, there's a lot of girl readers that are trying to change that, there was recently an ex-DC employee that among her many reviews, she decided to review a cover saying that maybe Wonder-girl, being an underage girl, should not have surgically enhanced exploding ****, and she was told girls were cancer to comic books (and more things)...

So no, I still disagree that big exploding **** play a part in the peak female form from the female perspective.

The hate train will keep rolling on this one.
And with good reasons probably, just, looks isn't one of them, or it is, but only in the way that people dislike the new Batsuit because they dislike Miller's Batman.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Just sunk into my perspective that the batsymbol is quite low spiked in the bottem middle (unlike miller's), really warming up to this suit the more I look at it, especially coloured versions.

He thought about all the people that were slagging on Carrie Fisher as a crack head and thought better of his views on Wonder Woman.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I have been behind her from the beginning. I found a lot of the stuff being said about her to be cruel. People just being overly critical of her body. It made me root for her even more. I hope she is amazing, and her performance becomes the definitive version of Wonder Woman. And people looking for an accurate look of how her body type and Wonder Woman could go together need to look up Cliff Chiang's current run of Wonder Woman.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I know nothing about her, so my mind is completely open. Cliff Chiang's Wonder Woman is beautiful and thanks to that title, he's one of my favorite artists. Gal Gadot has my full support and if it doesn't work out, I have no regrets in being optimistic. There's a reason she got this role, and a lot is riding on this film.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Bit of a turnaround for you, you were very much against her as I recall. :duff
Guilty as charged - but yeah, I think if we can get past her (still) seemingly fragile frame & give her a chance, she's beautiful, exotic (enough) & surely capable with the right support.

He thought about all the people that were slagging on Carrie Fisher as a crack head and thought better of his views on Wonder Woman.
Not a bad point actually - I never thought of it that way, but certainly one with merit. :)

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

My personal concerns, in order of priority:

1) getting the spirit and tone right
2) putting together a coherent and compelling superhero story
3) being able to pull off believable dramatic interactions between characters/being able to put together great action scenes
4) cosmetic stuff like WW's waist size, Superman's costume, Affleck's BMI, Aquaman's hair style/having a nice cinematographer involved to make pretty shots
5) minimizing CG
6) minimizing shakycam to the extent possible

Man you are asking for the world ...

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

As long as Batman/Bruce Wayne and his world are well done, I'm good, I'll enjoy it. I'm optimistic they'll go with the lonely, obsessive, paranoid doesn't-trust-anyone type interpretation for Batman that will make him stand out if the movie happens to be crap. Bonus points if this Batman scoffs at the very idea of Superman and the Justice League.

So far, I don't care about the rest. Wonder Woman could be the size of a twig and Superman can still break necks, I don't care. I gave Supes a chance with MoS, so there's nothing they can throw my way that would cause disappointment.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

It'd be great if there was at least one classic Batman villain in this too.. & it sure as hell doesn't have to be the Joker this time. :lol

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Dude, seriously.. you're setting yourself up for massive disappointment. :lol

Well it would be a wishlist to expect all of those things, and I don't expect them all. In fact, I totally don't expect my number 1 to be fulfilled, but. . .these are my concerns in order of priority. I guess my point is that Gadol's physical attributes aren't at the top of the list. This isn't like with the X-Men franchise, where I generally enjoy the films but think they could go to the next level if the aesthetic stuff was done right. This is a franchise where I would find very little satisfaction with a Wonder Woman that looked perfect while the rest of the film was poo.
