Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

He also could easily have killed innocents as he was clearing a path for himself on the Batpod in TDK by blowing up cars. Unless I'm remembering wrong you get a reaction shot from some people (possibly kids?) in one parked car as he speeds past. Errrrr...

They REALLY should have had some computer voice say "no civilians detected" in Batman's earpiece or shown some readout on a video screen advising him that the coast was clear when he blew up all those parked cars. It's really silly that your boy the T2 T800 scanned the area to ensure no human casualties but freaking Batman did not.

Stark did the same thing in IM2 when instead of leading the Hammer drones up into the sky he directed them to blow up about 50 parked cars which may or may not have been inhabited.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Highlander1 - I would love the colour scheme of the Flecksuit to be that dark ocean blue / almost black mix with a smokey grey bodysuit.. & a bronze coloured belt.

That would truly be a beautiful combo.

This would be my preferred choice of color scheme. However i would be happy with the smokey grey bodysuit, black cape and cowl, with the gold belt. As long as he's not wearing all black I will consider it a win.

And just to add my 2 cents Reeve Superman killed Zod. He throws him into a hole. Zod no longer has powers, is wearing a Prince backup dancer outfit and he slams off a wall of ice and falls down into a hole in the Artic. Zod's dead. And that doesn't bother me either, because Superman has never had a no kill rule. Bruce is the only one with such a rule in place in the JL. Still excited for this film. Loved MOS, love where this one is headed.

The picture is just to show the costume the colors are not shown correct or true. The pic is from i think fb cinema blend just showing what the suit could be also shown in black n grey ,blue.

And there's no way he could have known the cars weren't occupied.

Who cares?!?!

Batman had to get the Joker and some cars were in his way. Ain't nobody got time to check that ****.

Exactly. He's taking this chance with innocent people and yet won't kill known murderers. Surely they have to know the viewing audience is gonna point this out.

I doubt more than 5% of all moviegoers had the thought cross their mind that he might potentially be killing people in that scene. Indicative of a well made movie IMO.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Someone else pointed out that you can pick apart any movie. This is true, even the best of movies like Chinatown or Coen Bros. films have continuity errors, etc. The trick is to get audiences engaged enough that they can overlook those things, and in most cases won't even notice them unless they are actively trying to be critical (and TDK has been seen many many times by lots of boardies here teasing out criticisms).

A movie like Man of Steel is more problematic IMO, because folks picked up so many flaws on first viewing. To me, that suggests that the movie didn't do its job, and moviegoers were so perturbed and/or bored that they spent their time noticing all the different flaws. It could also mean that the movie has a lot more flaws to be found, and that they are more blatant, which I think is definitely the case with MOS.

A-dev is just in anti-Nolan Batman mode now, he'll come around.

There was nobody in those parked cars for Batman to kill . . . cuz he's Batman.

This is the number one post on Reddit (oh what could have been in 89...) :

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I wonder how Bat-Murray would feel about MoS Superman.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

If Bill Murray was Batman, I would have bought a dozen of the Hot Toys dolls.
