Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That's ok, he's not talentless.

Superhero? :cuckoo:

No wonder your posts, you have no idea of what's going on :lol

You know what I meant superboy!, don't be a Pixelpiper, one is enough.

:lol

Leave Rorywan alone.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Just another rumor, but Benedict Cucumber isn't denying his involvement with BvS.

https://capedcrusades.com/2014/09/02/whaaaat-benedict-cumberbatch-batman-v-superman/

Who could he play? I've heard characters like Riddler, Brainiac and Martian Manhunter.

Maybe for JL?

I think he'd make a great Martian Manhunter or Brainiac.

Ideally, the Riddler, but that'd be the Batman solo movie imo.

He should play Brainiac..... he should totally play Brainiac :rotfl

:lol sure it can, they can change that line to "don't make the same mistake I did" or something like that, it would be great imo.
It would work for Billy, but not me or many others for whom this version of Kal-El ruined his chance at redemption.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah you're right about that, who would you cast as Shazam? And as Billy? I can't think of anybody that could play Billy, don't know many child stars.

Not sure about Shazam. With Johnson now Adam, that's definitely a flustercuck. It's not one of those "we'll just get his skinny *** on a workout regiment" type of deals since that's a physicality that needs to already be in place and then built upon for the role (maybe get Roland Kickinger's *** into acting lessons?). Depending on where they go with Billy's age, I don't think they'll have any problem finding a talented young actor, like they did with young Clark.

Could be, yes, they're filming back to back that hasn't changed, I definitely see Shazam adding something to the plot of JL, but not Sandman.

Anyway it's just a rumor, one I hope it's not true.

Looking at the SDCC footage borrowing heavily from TDK, the only way it'd work is if they use Shazam as the heavy in BvS and do something like Kingdom Come, placing Shazam toe-to-toe against Superman. Not sure how that'd work though, because that Superman, despite turning his back on humanity, wasn't as ruthless as Hopeman. I don't think they'll go that route though and expect it to not make much sense beyond Superman throwing a tantrum and leaving.

I think Daniel Cudmore looks like a good pick for Shazam, he's 6'8... I'm not familiar with his acting though, I've only seen him on those two X-Men films as Colossus, I think he only had two lines, lol.

He's in shape, but he's going to need a HELL of a lot of bulk to be believable. I don't see Dwayne doing a Pain and Gain bulk for Adam, but definitely something close to Hercules which he'll need to stay in shape for given that's a 3-picture deal.

Someone already mentioned it, mangienello or whatever his name is, he's already jacked, 6'5, and though it's hard finding beardless pics of him, he definitely looks the part. The problem they're going to run into with Momoa as Aqua man is, Superman is gonna be the tiniest player on the field, especially with the bulk we've been seeing Affleck putting on. Luckily, Momoa will probably come in damn thin since he's a surfer and is mega lean between flicks, but Superman just isn't going to look like the team alpha without some movie magic.

It's one thing to have a heated argument amongst freaks, but comparing someone to Piper?

You crossed the line, sir.

I didn't mind it, but you gotta approach it as a throwback to the 80's B movie flicks. Yes, you're going to figure it out quick and it's going to frustrate you, because (imo) the cast they assembled could have made an awesome movie together. Aside from that it's just action and gore and a bunch of one dimensional characters played by actors who usually carry characters well (Mangina, Terrence Howard, Avatar dude)

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I don't know, he looks nothing like Shazam, and Aquaman already not looking like Aquaman is enough for me.

The Rock for Black Adam was as perfect as Momoa as lobo would've been, I want Shazams casting choice to match that.

It might not matter. It seems Shazam/Black Adams might not be part of the DC cinematic universe :gah: It looks like Shazam will be in a separate universe :(

The film is being produced by New Line Cinema, not Legendary Pictures, and New Line president Toby Emmerich said this,

“It feels to me like Shazam will have a tone unto itself,” he explains. “It’s a DC comic, but it’s not a Justice League character, and it’s not a Marvel comic. The tone and the feeling of the movie will be different from the other range of comic book movies… [It] will have a sense of fun and a sense of humor. But the stakes have to be real.”

So, he's not a JL character and the film will have a sense of humor? wasn't there a story recently saying that WB didn't want humor in the DCU films? This could mean that Shazam will be a separate film like the Sandman movie.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Well the rumor was "no jokes", I'm not sure that means no humor at all.

And it's kind of a confusing message, is he saying it won't be a part of the cinematic universe? That makes no sense.

btw, about Shazam's tone :lol I found this pic.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Oh so they can still do farts and things but knock knock jokes are off the table? Okay well I'm glad WB has their priorities all squared away.

Which means with Shazam out, and Sandman irrelevant, Superman's "banishment" is as goofy as I initially thought it would be. :lol
