Finally just ordered new parts to upgrade my PC.
Wow, it's been so long. I had no idea the prices are actually NOT that bad at all, for what you can get!
Basically I am replacing the main heart of the PC, but using existing PS, and GPU, and Sound Card.

So my set up will look like this for this game and others:

650W Corsair PS
ATI Radeon 5770 GPU
8GB Gskill DDR3 memory, 8-8-8-24 latency
i7 2600K
Asus P8P67 MB
OCZ 120GB Max OPS, Vertex 3, SSD drive
X-Fi Fatality Sound Card
WD 3TB External HDD, Usb 3.0


Now, if I'm not happy with my current video card and it's not doing the job I want, that will be the next to be upgraded.

And although I'm sure I'm in the minority, I will be all about tweaking this to the max visually and playing the Single Player Game. I won't play MP much at all. Beyond that shooting people in an FPS that is basically the same deal for the last while now with war FPS's, is not my thing for time killing.
Sadly, if I'm gona kill time online, WOW is my "time suck" of choice. lol

A TRUE gamer will have a good PC, and also play console games. So for me, it's not even a debate or battle about who is better and what system is better etc. I am a GAMER, and I have all my basis covered.
Maybe not so much on this board, but when I see all the crybabies who bash PC, are the ones who probably just can't afford it, and are just the young punks playing the XBOX Santa got them.
But really, these days, it's not even that expensive to buy a new PC that is decent. And they forget a PC is more than just a gaming machine.

Gotta disagree with you on the PC part. I consider myself a "true" gamer but I don't enjoy PC games. They've never been something I found that fun at all. I'd much rather play my xbox or PS3 (mostly my xbox) over anything and I bought my own by the way.

Same games, better graphics, more players, choice of server, dedicated servers, quicker loads, fewer discs (if any required to play once installed) and you can use an xbox controller on the PC. You have no excuses left.

Oh and Steam Trader just went live so now you can trade your old games for other people's anywhere by just swapping. Preferance aside, pretending it isn't the superior gaming experiance is laughably ill informed.

I used to be heavy into PC gaming but got tired of the upgrade game and isolated gaming (although i'm sure the latter has improved).

Now, I lay on my couch, legs up, and game on my Xbox on a 93" HD3D Mitsubishi DLP with a 5.1 surround sound (7.1 for movies) and a 700 continuous Watt Subwoofer!

My neighbors even come over for BF

Have fun with your higher graphics PC, I prefer the overall home theater experience

I got my folks plasma tv when they upgraded to a really nice LCD tv. I love gaming on that.
