I never thought I would ever play BF4 on the PS4, in my mind it was always going to be on the Xbox.

Amazing how things can change.

Keep in mind Josh that we're actually getting shafted by going with the PS4 because MS has the contract for early release map packs for the X1.

It was the opposite with BF3 where Sony had the early release rights.

So now that I choose the PS4 for BF4, the early release goes to the X1.

Lame. I assume then that if you dont preorder you'll have to pay $5 or something to get the preorder bonus map. Maps shouldnt be preorder bonuses. That just screws people who don't preorder and there's always a ton of people who don't for different reasons. I'm cool with a gun or skins, but a map is too important to separate from the game to be incentive.

Word on the street according to ign battefeild 4 looks like crap on the ps4 they got to play a demo and it was on a small map and the player cap was only 16 players they said the game didnt look as good as the pc version. I got it preordered for the xbox one I hope it dont look like crap for that system too.

Unlike the last generation the games are devloped with both consoles in mind, no porting, so both will look around the same. However from what i know the PS4 has better power/graphics.

It's optimized for the PC only.

That would make the extra power of the PS virtually useless with the exception for exclusives. Games would have to be built around the Xbox platform for then to preform on both so the extra power would not be used,it would only maybe help with load times.

That's nothing new.
There has always been a lowest common denominator in cross-platform games.

For the upcoming generation, the PS4 and Xbox1 architecture is closer than ever which means games released on both are going to look nearly identical. Even more so than the last generation.

Some great overall info about gadgets, guns, improvements over previous games ect.. And from 10:00 talk of the PS4 version ehich has put my concerns to rest.
