Interesting watch. Learned a lot of stuff I didn't know yet. 60fps with 64 players is the most important thing without question, but it is a little disappointing to see compromises like 1080p happening on a launch title. Maybe they'll figure out ways around that for the next game. Game looks awesome though. I think something like that remote mortar could get obnoxious, but we won't know for sure until we play.

That video was cool but it seems like they're moving towards a COD look with the weapons and cusomizations. I really wish they had done something with each classes appearance other than camo. I would of loved to have a fully customizable appearance.

I'm just happy they have the EOTech sight with the flip out magnifier. MW3 had that and I was jealous. Now life's a bit easier with that attachment. I hope they'll still have the M416 still.

^ yeah i don't like that. Camos is cool and all but decorating guns with logos and crap is childish.

I've seen what looks like the french flag on some guns

Liking the quick match going back to official servers. Hated when that changed

And you don't lose rounds if you reload early. :lol Yay!

I would love to see this game running on the xbox one so I can see what it will look like.

BF4Central:

At the recent PAX event, DICE and EA were present to show off Battlefield 4. And so was Microsoft, who were eager to show the game on its new Xbox One console. Only Battlefield 4 actually ran on a high end PC with an Xbox One controller attached, with Microsoft trying to disguise the PC as an Xbox One console.

Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, the Xbox marketing guy, promised gamers at PAX a Battlefield 4 demo on the Xbox One. And Microsoft had set up several stations where players could play Battlefield 4 on the Xbox One. Sort of.

When players paused the game, a Windows mouse cursor appeared. Players could even exit to reveal a complete Windows 8 set up. And when someone peaked under the table, they found PC systems (as the image below shows). To make matters worse, the Battlefield 4 match was nothing like the 64-player matches set up at E3 and GamesCom. They were 8 vs 8 matches, with no weapons or accessories unlocked.

Last week, DICE revealed that Battlefield 4 actually runs at 720p on consoles (but still at 60 frames per second). Once again, PC players will get the definitive version of the game.

DICE recently said that they had “underestimated console” gamers. While PC gamers will still get the graphically best version of the game, the next-gen console versions will still include all the major multiplayer features, such as the new Commander mode and 64 player multiplayer.

No surprises to me actually.
With any cross-platform FPS game that's also on the PC, it will always be my preferred platform simply because of the keyboard/mouse combo (everything else being equal).

That's common practice at this stage. Sony has used PCs as well. They're usually running on hardware thats the closest approximation of the console specs.

There's no point to trying to run a PC like it's the console, there's so many things that can change performance, and running on a PC itself is an indication that it's not going to look like that on the console.

Pretty disappointing that the game is only running at 720p though. But I was planning on getting it for PC anyways so it's not a big deal.
