I saw that too. In a way I'm glad they are calling it quits. I would hate to see this great series float off into mediocre writing like so many others have.

It really would. And it would be a great way to keep the series alive. The only way that would work, is if the last season is profitable enough to justify SciFi going forward with the series. Hopefully like Sex and City's last season they'll pull past viewers on board.

[Actor Aaron] Douglas revealed that the final 5 Cylons are in fact a different breed of Cylon than the human form versions that attacked the colonies. These 5 in fact are the original Cylon’s, are immortal, and are the Cylon Gods. Apparently, the repeating theme within the show, that all of this has happened before, and will happen again is going to be explored in the final season. But it was clear that the implications are that the Cylon’s rose before in the distant past of the colonies, and will rise again.

In Season 4, according to those on the set, it will be revealed that the centurion models are capable of intelligent thought, but the human form Cylons have been suppressing that ability with a device implanted in the positronic brain of the Cylon’s that prevents them from reasoning, and keeps them passive. No one would go into further details, but apparently a number of Centurions have these devices removed, and the battle damaged set is the result of the confrontation between these Centurions and their human form Cylon Masters.

im with you josh. im waiting for season 3 to come out on DVD and waiting for season 4 on the tube. only problem is that i no longer have television in my house so i will have to wait a day and download it.

News from The Digital Bits about Season 3 on DVD. It looks like April.

"When's Battlestar Galactica: Season Three coming out? When is Universal going to announce the third season of Battlestar?" You know, aside from "When is this format war going to be over?" I don't think we get asked anything more often.

Well, folks... it just so happens that we're Battlestar fans around here at The Bits too. So we asked our friends over at Universal. The long answer is (of course) that what follows is unofficial, as the title hasn't actually been announced yet and production is still underway on the special features. However... their short answer is that it's tentatively penciled into their release schedule for next Spring, specifically April 2008.

Yeah, I know that's a fracking long time. Don't kill the messenger. I'm just telling you what they told me. There's no specific word on why they're taking so long to get it done, other than presumably they're just trying to get all the extras finished. Perhaps they want to give Battlestar Galactica: Razor plenty of time by itself on the DVD shelves, so that all you fans will make sure to buy it. Maybe they want to have another DVD product to sell during Season Four's mid-season break. Maybe they're working on an HD-DVD version as well (that's not official or anything, but it seems a likely possibility). Anyway, as of now, April 2008 it is.

thats freaking lame.. april??? most tv shows release their previous season to coincide with the new season premiere on tv. and i know for a fact that they are coming to HD DVD.. you can preorder season one at just about any retailer now.

April is Fraking retarded. I know it's the last season and they want to make it great and all, but April is WAY too far away. At least we get Razor soon, but that does nothing to tell me who the hell starbuck appeared out of nowhere in an old raptor...GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
