I know, screamingmetal!

I've watched the ending about a half dozen times in the past couple days, and it keeps blowing me away. I'm a sucker for endings like that.

Thanks to TimeWarner Cable for STILL not hooking up cable and internet to my new apartment, I missed all normal runnings of the episode. I've had to get the internet where I can and just thank the gods I was able to download the episode. And since I've first watched it a couple days ago, I can't get enough of it!

What a great story-telling device of using the song for the cylons' slow awakening and what a great cover version of the song so as to disguise it. Watching it again from start to finish, I spotted all the clues that I missed. The Cheif flat out nails the tune early on. Tigh complaining to Adama about the music and "too much confusion."

I'm wondering if the nebula was the trigger for the final five and the power surge or if the final five were the trigger for the power surge.

I think I remember the normal cylons are afraid of the final five so I was always expecting them to return and to be at odds with the cylons. It never occured to me that all five of them were (hiding/sleeping) on Galactica the whole (almost) time.

I believe the song was heard before the nebula so I don't think that is what caused it. Since radio waves take a certain amount of time to travel a certain distance maybe the signal is carried in that way and they only started hearing it when they got closer to Earth?
Before this episode I always wondered how the Cylons could receive a trigger signal without being physically different from a normal human. This episode makes me think that the Cylons are preprogrammed with specific instructions and need to hear or see a specific trigger in order to carry out those instructions kinda like the Manchurian Candidate. It makes me wonder if there were signals for the other human Cylons in previous episodes.

I just finished season 2.5 and it was awesome. Where can I get downloads of season 3? The DVD isn't coming out until Aug/Sept and I don't think I can wait that long...

weren't not suppose to give out locations where you can download the stuff, but if I were to look for it, I would use a nice clean TORRENT to get it......

I'm still going through season one of BSG at the moment (sorry I know I'm hopelessly behind some of you guys in the states).

But I've just watched episode five "You Can't Go Home" and am really starting to warm up to the show and it's characters.

The scenes in Cylon Occupied Caprica are really interesting and I can't wait to see where that plotline goes.

Does anyone know if Dr Baltarr gets exposed before the end of season one or does that plotline run a little longer.

haha, thanks for the huge hint. I am technologically backward with stuff like this.

Yes, baltar's story arch gets played out longer than that.

Think they're all on iTunes, too.

torrent didn't carry season 3. Thanks, I'll check out itunes. (addicted). I'm reading the synopsis on scifi.com, which is bad because of all the spoilers. Have to stop myself. It is like crack.

Yea, I spoiled myself for the season 3 finale and I was SOOOOOOOOO mad I did it too. Try to stay spoiler free for that and you'll be in for quite a suprise.

Bear McCreary said it would be in August...the same time the Season 3 soundtrack comes out.

Here's a link.

This just in from G4:

Actors from "Battlestar Galactica" say there's no chance for a 5th season. Edward James Olmos and Katee Sackoff of the Sci-fi Channel drama have confirmed that the show will end after its 4th season in 2008 because, "it's an expensive show. It is [a great show], but we don't have the viewership that a great show should get."

That annoys me so much. Stupid American Idol. It isn't even a real show. The people are singing OTHER PEOPLE'S SONGS !!!! I don't get why people watch it, guess I'll never get it. I'm sad for no Season 5. Wonder if they will have some closure for season 4. I hope so.

P.S. Kinda random, I just saw Helo on smallville this week.

They eat up the empty calories of Heroes but something a little more nutritious like BSG goes mostly ignored on the back of the shelf.

Since NBC has shown the miniseries, is it too much to hope that they will pick it up? I think it is.....:monkey2

Sad, but not surprising. I'm guessing the series will end with Starbuck and Apollo going to Earth on their flying motorcycles.

Didn't Olmos also say that they would find Earth in Season 4? I guess they could start doing Yaris commercials in the middle of the shows...
