Great episode tonight!! That bit when Tigh was hallucinating was INSANE. :google

Things are looking to be very very interesting during this last season. I'm so happy it's back on again. :banana

Gonna be a roller coaster that's for sure. Anyone wanna take bets on the final Cylon? It'd be might interesting if Roslin turned out to be the 5th.

Yeah, especially how hardcore she is about tossing Cylons out airlocks and generally being kinda evil to anything that isn't in the best interest of herself and her goals.

It would be kind of like what Tigh is going through.

I guess it'd be too easy if Starbuck turned out to be the final cylon, right?

How about someone absolutely crushing, like Lee? It's a long stretch, but all too possible.

Honestly, I think it would be nuts if Admiral Adama was a cylon. I'm hoping it's him. I think poor Sam is going to get one between the eyes when Kara finds out he's a cylon. Was interesting that they showed Anders and the centurian flying meet. Did he force them to leave? Or did the centurian read a code that was programmed in anders? Going to be an interesting final season.

I think it would show that it's not just your genetic makeup that makes you into a cyclon, it's your choices. seems to be an ongoing theme of the show

Yep, great episode. And I don't think I'm spoiling anything, but when Kaydee was at the BSG convention she implied that you don't find out what Starbuck is, human, cylon or something else, in the first 9 episodes at least.

And what's up with Baltar? They do the whole Jesus thing and then shave his beard?

If the last episode is Baltar and Starbuck crashing naked and alone on earth and having to name all the animals - I'm going to be really pissed...

Now that was great TV! I loved how Baltar was playing along with the zealots in the first part of the episode. It will be intersting to see where the show takes that...

And I was excited to see that Doctor Who is starting up on the 18th.

Awesome episode. So glad to see BSG back on. Though I read in the newspaper yesterday that they are doing only 10 episodes this year and we'll have to wait until next year for the final ten. That would suck huge.

On a positive note, Helo and Athena will be at NYCC next week. I'll let you know if I find out anything earthshattering and try to get some pics.

I'm just really impressed with the development of the characters. Each one of them have taken turns towards something else, almost opposite of what they once were.

Baltar is interesting, he's finally stopped caring what happens to himself. He's willing to die, and now has had his incredible burden lifted from his chest. But now is basically stuck in his position with the zealots, as he would no doubt be killed out in the fleet alone.

Tigh is another one, he's hated the Cylons for so long... And killed his Wife for collaborating. Now he will probably start hating himself, and terrified of what he might do.

I'm thinking that the last Cylon will be a shocker. I don't think it is Starbuck or Baltar, that would be too easy. But I still think that both of their characters are vitally important in the story as a whole. She is probably connected to the Colonists "Gods" in some way. An angel of sorts.

Baltar, I'm not sure. There was something that the President said about 5 priests and "He who shall not be named" in the scriptures. Which would be the final 5 Cylons and someone else, an orchestrator of sorts. I think Baltar is connected there, somehow. It would explain why he sees Six and seems to know things that he really shouldn't. And why she sees him. Possibly programming that is supposed to lead them both towards the finale. "All of this has happened before, and will happen again", fits together.

At least in my crazy a$$ mind. :lol

Top reasons why I like Roslin as a Cylon:

The shared visions between her, Hera, Athena and Six.
Her hatred toward anything Cylon.
The fact she believes she will get them to Earth but not live there.
The relationship between her and Adama.
The fact that Lee and Adama spoke about loving someone even if they were still a Cylon. I know Lee was talking about Starbuck but imagine if it turned out Roslin was the 5th. Also Six said the five are "close", which I took to mean all were on Glactica at the time. Roslin was closest of them all.

Yea, I don't know if Baltar has actually changed his ways, or for the time being, he doesn't want to live. Throughout the entire series so far, they have shown that Baltar only cares about his own survival. I was hoping he would have had more time to talk with Six about that.

Anybody else think that Saul's programming was to shoot Adama like he did in his vision, but HE stopped himself from doing it? Why else would they show that? He said that HE is who he is, not what he was programmed to do.

I thought i would have been able to watch this but alas. The sci fi website won't let me watch the new episode cause im not in the right location, patience is a virtue apparantly.

Just saw the episode -- had to get it from a torrent, as the official site won't let me watch it online legally.

(I don't live in the US, see. And this is why I hate the very idea of digital downloads replacing disc-based media.)

Anyway -- I adored the opening battle, but the rest of the episode was just the characters trying to figure out what to do with their new cards, as dealt at the end of the last season, without too many really interesting turns. Some of it was well-written, some wasn't.

Callis really hammed it up as Baltar when he first encountered the Cult, but then seemed quite genuine with his prayer (which is very flat on paper), and his death wish later on.

Katee is amazing as usual, but even though her part of the story covered all the plot points, it wasn't handled with much inspiration. Thankfully, the cliffhanger was, although it's obviously a setup for a heart-to-heart, or rather a vision-to-vision at the start of the second part of the opener.

Adama and Lee -- the point about Zack was great, but is this really what all the tension of the end of Season Three boils down to? A chat in the briefing room? Really?

Anders was good. And I usually don't care for him. Having Kara tell him she'd gladly put a bullet between his eyes if he were a Cylon, and then actually smack him upside the head, was even better, though.

Tigh was amazing, but I love the old bastard, and he's always amazing.

Way too little Sharon, as usual these days, and way too little Seelix. I wonder if the producers will ever realize she's hot.

Also, Tracey Anne and most of the chicks in the Cult are joy to look at.

Yea, this is Baltar's idea of heaven - a bunch of hot chicks ready to obey his every word. But it isn't all it's cracked up to be. And you can see his guilt and fear on his face when they wake him, naked from just having sex, but no one judges him or even seems to notice and he is freaking out on the inside.

I caught that too. I think we will see a full turnaround for his character before this season is up. He went through a lot last season, he was tortured several times, more than anyone else in the series really. Now he just has to live with the consequences of his decisions back on Caprica and New Caprica. And yeah, Dave, you could see the guilt on his face when they brought him the dying boy. He looked like he was trying to claw his way out of his own skin. :lol

I really do hope he gets some sort of redemption before the show is over. I can even see him sacrificing himself to save the fleet and even stopping #6 in the process.

No, I think he was just projecting. He was probably remembering Athena doing the same thing to Adama and wondering if this was why he was "activated". It was a great moment though, I did actually yell "Holy Sh...."and "you've got to be kidding" quite loudly. It really caught me off guard.

I love how much there is to read into Friday's episode. Reading everyone's comments shows how much thought went into it. I think the Projecting idea is a good one. Maybe this means we can look into more "daydream" type projections.

I really dug how Anders didn't fire on the Cylon Raider and questions what part of him held back and why.
