Great point. I think you're dead on about this--

I didn't even think about it until last Episode... I noticed how much Adama was wincing in pain, and it hit me like a stack of bricks... I immediately started coming up with ways to make that theory more relevant and it really seemed pretty solid. We will see if I am correct.

No matter what happens, it is going to be a harrowing couple of episodes to the end.... :horror

I also think DA's theory is a good one. Although I don't like it since Adama is my favorite character.

And I also agree with DC since I thought the episode was somewhat of a filler.

The story is a good one. How can anyone expect the Human race to accept Cylons as allies?

Yeah, I would hate to see Adama to die... but it would almost be a fitting end for him. And it would make that line from the series all the more poignant.. "For the children to reach their full potential, their parents must die."

Meaning that Lee would emerge as a new leader for the people.

And as for humanity accepting the Cylons. They first must understand one of the most basic tenants of warfare. There is no black and white. The enemy is just like you, his or her leaders gave him or her orders to complete a mission... just like yours did. And not all of them agree with what the higher ups want, some just go along because there is no other choice. The Cylons have shown this as the series developed. Some have broken away from the normal order...from the plan. For them the humans are the enemy, and not to be trusted.

And the Five are entirely different, they weren't in on anything... they are almost identical to the humans...in fact they have gone through just as much turmoil as anyone. The humans who are still seeing black and white, like Gaeta.. can't understand that.

Someone has to break the cycle of violence and just let it go... that group will be both Cylon and human. They will desire a peaceful world without war, and they will have to fight both humans and Cylons in order to achieve that end. At least that is how I see it unfolding.

Agreed, but I still don't have to like it. :lol

That's why I think the writing is so good, people can relate. All your points mirror real life.

Worked for Moses.

I for one have been rooting for Adama to die since the beginning of the series. Not that I dislike him at all, just that it would thematically fit ala Moses, and make his arc even stronger. Plus he could die in "classic Lorne Greene pose" making that line in the Simpsons THOH finally make sense. ;)

I think this is the only possible ending. No way one or both sides will be wiped out. Ultimately, after much sacrifice and loss, there will be a hopeful ending in "the promised land" ending the war. Hopefully it will be done classier than what The Matrix did.

Well, I'm think that Baltar is a Cylon just like Starbuck. But how did they get remade?? There was always the arguement that Baltar was a Cylon cause it "looked" like he died opn Caprica in the nuke blast, but now I have to say for sure that he did die with that Six.

Well, we know that they can clone human DNA and bing them back, but I am still wondering about how Starbuck got cloned? Is she a Cylon cloned Starbuck or is she a human cloned Starbuck??!!

I always wondered about Baltar there myself... that perhaps he had died in that blast. It would indicate why after the blast he saw Six and she saw him. It was meant as a program to direct the two characters towards their destiny. And it would be hilarious, considering that Baltar spent much of the series trying to stay alive. :rotfl

Tonights episode was pretty heart pumping... I hope Gaeta dies a horrible death, what a bastard. But kudos to Starbuck for being such a badass this episode. :rock

Such a kickass episode... I figured it would be an intense cliffhanger :monkey2

BTW, what was the comment to Gaeta about the pen... I can't remember what he did on New Caprica, was it signing death warrants?

Last season, Gaeta stabbed Baltar in the neck with a pen. In the Webisodes, it's revealed what Baltar whispered in Felix's ear that prompted the response. Essentially:

Gaeta was feeding names to an 8 on New Caprica that he thought was going to free said people, but ended up executing them instead. Baltar knew about this and whispered "I know what your 8 did"

And oh my god what a frakking intense episode. One of the best of the series bar none. The wait until next week is going to be unbearable.

Wow, that was a great episode. I hate Gaeta so much right now.

Seems like we might lose another main character.

I totally agree man... I haven't hated someone this much since Admiral Cain. :lol

And yeah, tonight I thought Helo was toast there for a minute... I think we will lose someone before the next episode is over. They said that Tigh bought it, but I don't believe that. I think it was a ruse..

If Tigh did die, he will suddenly appear with Ellen when she comes back...
