I think there's so many ambiguous things that even after the last episode we will still have questions. Would be interesting if Cavil contaminated the 7's amniotic fluid causing the switch in sexes to push Ellen away thus changing it. So then technically Kara would and WOULDNT be the Seven.

I remember reading something somewhere that everyone was pretty happy with how the show ends and the wrap up of all their characters......except for Katee Sackhoff...she felt her character never really had any closure......so perhaps we will never know who she really is.

I thought it was more to do with relationship issues between her and Sam? I dunno it does kinda make sense though about Kara being a Seven. Her mother abused her, she always had dreams of the Eye of Jupiter, often times the idea of the fighter is opposed to that of the artist. Maybe John/Cavil did a 180 to the Sevens to really put that wedge between them and Ellen. Also, what do we think Ellen will do about Saul and Six's baby?

You could be right about that (Starbuck's relationship w/Sam). I have no idea how Ellen will react. She seems all poised and collected and thoughtful. :lol She may actually be thrilled because it's the first cylon/cylon baby (even though one of the cylons is a Final Five).....at first I thought she would be pissed as hell.....now I don't think so.

See, this is why I cannot wait to get to the end because there are so many ways things can go yet. One thing I had a hard time keeping up with was who went where and when. We have approximate dates for the Temple on Kobol, the nuking of Earth, etc but .. something in my head isn't letting them all add up correctly. Anyone feel like making a time line? haha

So final five cylons also download and resurrect like normal cylons? Couple things don't make sense to me. First off, it's been stated many times that Tigh served in the first cylon war. Now they say he was introduced after the war? Which leads to my second question. Adama remembers Tigh looking younger "You had hair". So Ellen resurrected into her aged body, why would Saul be the only one who ages? They better cover this as that's a major problem for me as Tigh is one of my favorite characters.

Wow, that last episode was information overload. Pretty much provided most of the needed answers. Now it's just a matter of where do they go from here and what's happening with Starbuck.
Loved the subluminal space travel explanation for why Earth died so long ago before the first Cylon war spread to Caprica.

No other show leaves me with such a huge grin after watching it. :D
Best TV series I've ever seen.

Forgot about the resurrection ship when it was reveiled the Ellen was cylon, cool bit with the centurion. Cool that the centurions wre the one who believe in the one god stuff originally.

Poor old Galactica, looks like she won't make to the end which might be cool to see. Only 50 years old though, think i remember the Battlestar from the original series being like 1000 years old.

No more 12 colonies, looks like it going to be a fleet council.

John/Cavil got busy on New Caprica with his creator and he knew about it, nasty.

What about Baltar being the dying leader, with his star charts hes lead the fleets somewhat, he saw the 12 serpants/viper in the tilium astriod episode, could be he's seeing the 6 cause hes got some sort of cancer in his brain which is causing it. so dying. (I miss that relationship and he started to see himself) Been trying to think of other like he was the leader of the colonies for a while and nw hes sort of a spritual leader.

First off, WAY FRAKKING SWEET EPISODE. Now I'll give you guys my view on the episode.

So what are everyone's thoughts about the Galactica? You know somethings going to happen when they introduce Cylon technology to help repair it.

With the introduction of Cylon materials to the Galactica, I think that they are finially ending the cycle of violence that the final five wanted to end, by merging and blending the humans and the cylons together. I don't think it's going to be a booby trap down the road, but a collision of the cultures that will make Ellen proud.

Wow - that was a lot of information. Not at all what I had envisioned. :lol Can't wait to see where they go with all of this. I'm really not liking John.......he's a bad, bad skin job. :lol And I never thought I would say this.....but I'm actually liking Ellen now.

Yea, melikes the new Ellen 100000000x times than the old Ellen. I liked it how John wanted to send the final five amongst the humans and have them "see" humans the way he does, then BOOM, resurrect and then find out what he did and thank him for it. But good ole Ellen sure shot him down on that one. Also shows why there was such a taboo on the rest of the models thinking about the final 5. John wanted to keep that little secret to himself, D'Anna saw then, so John had to box her line. Anyone else find it curious when Ellen said that "the one true god" left them signs at the eye of Jupiter that could lead them to Earth." I just found it weird that she would say that to John, maybe she was deliberately lying to him, but it seemed odd. I wonder if she really knows the truth about all these prophecies, etc.

OH, I also want to hear a little bit more about Ellen's "LAB" that nobody else knows about. That should be interesting. And I still want Chief to kill Tory, she did kill his wife afterall.

Im still not sure how everything fits in together. Earth, Kobol, the Final Five, the actual creation and recreation of the Cylons... how they HAPPEN to just have the same name for AI.

I think it goes....the humans of kobol created the first humanoid cylons which make up the 13th tribe and leave in search of a new home, Earth; which they find and settle there. Then they create the first Centurions (the older looking ones). Just before the war rages on, they invent ressurection and are saved when Earth gets nuked. Then they take a ship back towards Earth that takes thousands of years. Then they backtracked the path of the 13th tribe, much like the humans of the present are doing now but in reverse.

Which is funny, because if they knew how to invent ressurection, how can they not invent FTL travel.....Then they get to Caprica and the first war between humans and cylons is raging. They make a deal with the cylons to help them create skinjobs if they stop the war. The Colonial Cylons I think would have eventually been able to create skinjobs themselves, but the final five got to them before they did and thought they could stop what happened to them by changing the circumstances a little bit. These centurions that the final five find believe in a singular God, which the final five could use to give them compassion and mercy in order to stop the circle of violence that they themselves have experienced. The final five agree to create resurrection and skinjob models for the centurians if they'll declare a truce, and this happens. However, the first skinjob they create, Cavil, betrays them, killing the Daniels line, and killing the Final Five. Once they resurrect, Cavil implants them with false memories and spreads them out among the colonies, as he and the centurians prepare to exterminate humankind and rub it in the faces of the final five when they resurrect again. Then we know the story from here.

I really hope we get a definitive timeline. My biggest question regarding the timeline is: If the "people" on earth were nuked 2,000 years ago by skinjobs, then where are those skinjobs now? Just roaming through the universe???

so Starbuck is the David model that had a sex change?
I found that HILARIOUS. Starbuck was played by a man in the original show, so they might be alluding that Starbuck was originally was "DANIEL"
Dirk%20Benedict%20Galactica%20Starbuck.jpg

but then had to change. Did you guys notice that when Anders was talking about "Daniel" he said "SHE" when referring to him. Nice slip of the tongue and the word salad that fit in nicely to that little plot device.

SO....pretty much the only questions that are leering around now are (can't of anymore than this):
1) Baltar's Six in his head and Six's Baltar in her head
2) What the frak is starbuck (methinks "daniel") Got to remember that Starbuck's Father was an artist, maybe she is a daughter of one of the "Daniels"
3) What happened to the beings that nuked Earth 2,000 years ago
4) How did Starbuck get to Earth and back to Galactica (methinks it's linked to question #3, that the beings that were around Earth 2,000 ago somehow survived and helped Kara get back, hence the old centurions there and the old ship that she was flying)

The beings that destroyed earth were the Cylon machines that the skinjobs there made. They made the resurrection technology to save themselves and when they resurrected they went to find the other colonies to warn them not to make the machines.

No. They were going there to make sure they didn't treat their machines like slaves.

But it was only the five that survived that. The used resurrection to survive and to go warn the colonials about their cylons. But they still haven't told us who bombed earth. Centurian Cylons bombing the humanoid cylons? Then where are the centurians?

They died on earth, that's their remains. They said specifically in the episode that the Centurions bombed them.

I'd like to see a timeline too - it's kind of confusing which came first - the skinjob or the centurion? If the final 5 can reproduce, then there's nothing really special about Tigh and Six's baby, right? And where does Hera fit in?

Katee Sackoff's on Nip/Tuck now.

I think Hera is important because the skinjobs created by the Five could not reproduce, thus why so many copies. Hera is a child between a Cylon and Human, Tigh and Six is the first Five/Cylon baby. I think it will be important because the two will show the races CAN peacefully co-exist. Not sure of the "larger" meaning of Hera though because they sure built that up.

Okay here's my attempt at a chronology of advents, I needed to do this to get my head around the back story.

  • Kobol creates the first Skin Job Cylons, these procreate through resurrection.
  • These Skin Jobs leave Kobol as the Thirteenth Colony and settle Earth.
  • Soon the Skin Jobs can procreate through sex, they stop resurrection.
  • Years later, the Centurions on Earth rebel against the Skin Jobs and start a war.
  • Five of these Skin Jobs bring back resurrection tech but only for themselves.
  • The Thirteenth Colony is wiped out by nuclear war, Five of these Skin Jobs download on a Resurrection ship in orbit and escape annihilation, these are the Final Five.
  • The Final Five leave Earth to warn the other 12 Colonies about the dangers of the Centurions, this trip takes a thousand years.
  • By the time the Final Five arrive, War has already broken out, this is the first Cylon War.
  • In that thousand years, the Centurions have founded a religion worshiping one God.
  • The Centurions are also trying to create their own Skin Jobs but these are flawed, they won't stay alive for long.
  • The Final Five negotiate a truce, they give the Centurions Skin Jobs of their own, and give them resurrection tech if they stop the war.
  • The first Cylon War ceases.
  • Between the first and second Cylon Wars is forty years.
  • The new Skin Jobs are the Eight designed by the Final Five.
  • Resurrection tech revives all Skin Jobs, the Final Five as well as the New Eight.
  • One of the new Skin Jobs, John (#1) hates being limited in his human form, and seeks to take revenge on the Final Five for creating him.
  • John is also jealous and hates one of his siblings, Daniel (#7) because Ellen (one of the Five) is very close to him.
  • John poisons the amniotic fluid being used to mature the Daniel copies and corrupts Daniel's genetic code to stop Daniel from resurrecting.
  • John Resurrects the Final Five, these Final Five have their old memories wiped out so they're clean slates.
  • He seeds these Five in the Colonies so that they witness to what John hates so much about humanity.
  • John plans to wipe out humanity and the Final Five so that the Five can resurrect and he can gloat over them when they return, they will also regain their memories.
  • The Cylons start the second Cylon War, the Twelve Colonies are wiped out.
  • The Final Five manage to survive this holocaust in the fleet, and don't resurrect.
  • The Cylons seek to whip out the remaining Humans and the Final Five.
  • The rest is what is shown in the series.

That's the best I got.
I'm unsure when the Centurions were created. I like to think that the Centurions were created back on Kobol and have been a part of all the thirteen colonies since, over the past thousand years.
