That's like saying you hate smores because Nestle shoehorned chocolate in since they didn't think marshmallows could handle it on their own.

I think it's more that they desperately need to get their shared universe off the ground than any fear that Superman can't handle a movie on his own.

Oh, and they've been "shoehorning" Batman and Superman together since 1941. This movie is looooong overdue.

It's Superman and Batman in the same movie. What is there not to like???

I didn't even really like MOS but I had higher hopes for a sequel. I was hoping the film makers would put all their efforts into making a great Superman movie by developing the character further and showing what a real hero he can be. Let him stand on his own. You can't do that when you add this immensely popular & iconic secondary protagonist into an already iconic character's movie. Now WB may be shoving Batman in the sequel simply to get to Justice League faster and if so, I think that's the wrong approach.

I think if anything it will echo shades of video game more like combat Kevlar body armor sculpted to the body and less rubber and carbon fiber. All the new 52 suits look like armor and not just some costume which makes it more practical
