Its true, Chase is the one with the ultimate sickness here :rock

Wow. And I'm next. :rock

By the way, it also my impression that the bodies themselves will be changeable.. It wouldn't just be a matter of slapping shorter arms and legs on the same sized torso.

Josh it will take Pix at his current rate of posting 16.25 posts a day almost another 3 years to hit 25000. It would take me at my current rate 10 years to get to 25000.

Yes, he is. :lol

It's funny though to look at the numbers. Especially when the amount of posts I have gets brought up. I think people just see the number and think man that guy never leaves. Sure, I have a lot of posts but when you look at some of the newer members and how active they are it puts it into perspective.
---------------------------------------------------------
Assuming King, Pix, and Loki keep up this pace this is where they will be in years.

King Darkness-32,136 posts by 2010
Darth Loki-26,626 posts by 2010
Pix-28,169 posts by 2010

So if they keep it up in 4 years they would have amassed more posts than I did in the 4 year span of 03-07.

That may be a bit more accurate way to get there. I'm just going of PPM which may not be as accurate. It gives the general idea though.

Just doing absolutely meaningless posts like this one helps up my little post count compared to some of you.

So do you think I will have any problems with the Luke preorder tomorrow.

I have a feeling it will be tight at first but after 15 minutes it will be easy to get one and then it will sell out after 35 minutes.

Thats what Im hoping for my boss and my bosses boss will be gone tomorrow so I should be able to order it no problem.

Yeah, I'm sure it will be a sell out... but hopefully not to crazy, especially since some have already been able to order through SDCC.

Personally, I think if SSC knows of the change and still didn't have time to swith the outfits for sake of pictures then they need to post a footnote and say "collar will be changed".

Why not do that? You guys know we are picky as hell. It'll save you guys a lot of grief and criticism too if you only let people know whats going on.

I guess I should clarify my position in Sideshow. As part of the Cut and Sew program, I'm an independent contractor. I don't spend 5 days a week in the office. Usually I'm out there once or twice a week. As a fan and collector, I take a keen interest in the Star Wars lines and Lord of the Rings lines, and so sometimes I ask questions about figures in development. Sometimes I get answers, sometimes I don't. I was lucky enough to get an answer about the Luke jacket, and asked specifically if I could share the information with the board members.

Woulda shoulda coulda...I don't know why things are done a certain way, why the jacket wasn't switched. I thought I was alleviating some of the grief and criticism by letting people know what was going on :dunno.

Now...believe me or don't :D, but here's what I found out today:

- collar looks like it is now a standup collar (it wasn't on a body so I couldn't tell 100%), and it definitely had the correct rows of stitching on it.
- pockets are lower, and look smaller than the first jacket.

thats all. by the way, the mudslinging in here cracks me up! :lol

PS...I asked if I could take a picture and was DENIED! I swear I'm looking out for you guys.

PPS...did I use enough smilies?

Well that's awesome news... and I wasn't even bothered by the collar... the pockets though, yeah.

But great -- all fixed. Perfect. Can't get better service than that.

Thank you!

And don't worry about the mudslinging too much. We're just passionate and bored.

But for clothing, you only have to do it once, right? Create the pieces, create the patterns, and let the producers go away. So its hard for me to understand the problems like this collar. Or Han's jacket. Or overly thin tabbards on Jedi (Qui-Gon), or overly-short tabbards on Jedi (Anakin).

I can't comment on Han's Jacket or Qui-gon or Anakin's tabbards, or even as to the construction of Luke. All of these projects were in development before my time at Sideshow...but breaking down the costuming like that is kind of like arguing that sculpting is simply making a nose, lips, ears and eyes on a ball of clay. there's a complexity in making these outfits that I think goes unrealized by many.

I just got reason to be 100 times as happy that I ordered Bespin Luke at CC. For the first time...I will not be available for the PPO. I have been lucky up to now...well now too since I did order it at CC.

I will be ordering two of these I believe. I just hope I dont have a problem with the preorder or anything. I got through at work really quick for the Hobbits once they went up so here is hoping for no problems.

I hate to be a kissass but that post was more than we usally get around here, so thanks dude.

Yeah...so just how many of those 1980 are actually left for tomorrow.

Personally, I really don't think they should've allowed orders for Exclusives at SDCC. It almost makes it another con exclusive.

If they didn't allow attendee preorders for all items that go up for sale during SDCC, we would have missed out on them while we were on the floor or attending panels, so that seems like it should be mandatory. Allowing attendee preorders for items that have a PPO scheduled for a date after the show when we are all home again--that's just a nice perk and a cool bonus for attendees. I would understand it if they didn't do it, but I appreciate the fact that they do.
