If they didn't allow attendee preorders for all items that go up for sale during SDCC, we would have missed out on them while we were on the floor or attending panels, so that seems like it should be mandatory. Allowing attendee preorders for items that have a PPO scheduled for a date after the show when we are all home again--that's just a nice perk and a cool bonus for attendees. I would understand it if they didn't do it, but I appreciate the fact that they do.
I can understand allowing POs for items that go up during the con, but they should only be on that day. For orders after the con, orders shouldn't be allowed. Yeah, it's a nice perk for attendees, but these aren't convention exclusives and it really sticks it to us who didn't go.
Yes, I may be putting the cart before the horse here but humor me for a moment.
Bespin Luke will be a very high-demand figure, and there are only 1980 exclusives total. If the SDCC attendees were able to order those exclusives, then who's to say that for a non-convention exclusive item there are only going to be 500 tomorrow??? That leaves a lot of people in the dust.
