Its not a convention exclusive. Does it still have the regular PPO date and time? YES! So therefore it's still a regular order we just got to do our PPO ahead of time.

Why should those of us who paid our good hard earned money have to settle for the regular. While you who couldn't/choose not to go gets to order the exclusive? Sounds like you want your cake and eat it too.

So it has a set PPO date/time but you got to get it two weeks prior. How does that not shade it as a PARTIAL convention exclusive. Did non-attendee get the same shot? Hmm...no....

As for having to "settle for the regular", then maybe Sideshow should allow orders for products that aren't convention exclusives.

Just a thought.

I was in the process of replying to another one of your posts. So

Don't try to make me look bad because you're doing your job helping an autistic child. That's great that you are and I tip my cap for that. So don't go playing martyr on that fact.

Ah so now all you did was read reports yet you want the same playing grounds as those that went. You didn't even enjoy the coverage by SS and other sites. Why doesn't that surprise me.

Well, the way you're coming across it looks like one in the same.

:monkey3 :) :lol

Well, maybe you didn't intend to, but it did insult me. And it insults me that you think I'm the kind of person who thinks the world must revolve around me. Try working in my job for a couple of weeks, and you'll clearly see just how much you have to be the exact opposite to do that job. And that's a job I took rather than pursue a teaching job.

Well, the way you're posting it comes across that you've been so wronged and that SS is screwing you. Which IMO makes it look like the world should revolve around you and other NA.

I'm sure your job is tough. Very tough infact. I couldn't do it cause I can't deal with seeing kids or adults with handicaps. It breaks my heart. I pursued a teaching job but I won't be ashamed of that. This is how I choose to make my mark on the world and make it a better place.

:rock :rock :rock :rock

I can only imagine what Josh's post count would be if he choose to answer in individual posts:lol
I'd be the Barry Bonds of posting. :lol

Not trying to be a martyr. Just making the point that you don't really know me.

Never said I wanted the same playing grounds for things related to the convention.

As for not enjoying the coverage? I enjoyed the written reports and helped with the coverage for Yodasnews.com. Who do you think did the graphics and busted their *** getting a review done for Sidious in time for the height of SDCC?

As for me "whining" instead of venting, I'd be done with this if you hadn't gotten belligerent. You're always preaching about being entitled to opinions. Well this one's mine. Take it for what you want, but don't get personal with me.

Then, out of curiosity, how would you define venting? What do you do when you vent? I'm not trying to be antagonistic. I'm genuinely curious. I'll certainly not divulge details, but what would our recent PMs to each other be considered???

Don't take that personally. It's just an example. You know I agreed with you.

Venting about the acquisition of something you have no vestyed interest (beyond emotional) is venting. My pm's to you reflected a concern that I was losing money which I had spent. In fact, my pms to you I would classify as investigative, rather than venting.

Life makes choices for us. Life has made the decision for you to be at work during the PPO. That sucks. Sideshow can't be responsible for every variation in circumstances which may exist among its customers. To expect them to do so will bring you nothing but frustration.

Also, you really should keep a broader persepective. If your wife is unable to score you a Luke (which I doubt. You'll get it) sometime someone here will sell it at cost. I have seen it time and again with every exclusive (including Jedi Luke).

The solution for your frustration is just to take a step back, take a deep breath, and look at the big picture.

I am not offended. I love my halo. :monkey3

Fine it makes a tiny portion of the ES a con deal. It's a FREAKING PERK man! Did NA pay the flight, room, etc to go out there and order it two weeks early. NO!!! :)

As for having to "settle for the regular", then maybe Sideshow should allow orders for products that aren't convention exclusives.

Luke wasn't a convention exclusive.

Clearly I can't express an opinion or vent on this matter without being labeled as a whiner, crier, being sour grapes, playing their own violin, or whatever else has been lobbied at me.

Is this really what kind of board this has become???

Did I at ANY point insult Sideshow with derogatory terms? Did I condemn those who got it early??

No.

I just expressed an opinion on a policy, and I was passionate about it.

Very, very sorry that I "whined" to everyone.

Another derailed thread...

Can we move on and actually talk about this much anticipated figure?

And thanks isewdollyclothes for the imput btw...

Note to self: Passion + Venting = articulate discussion.

Seriously sith lord. You are talking to someone who went out of their way to order 16 Old Ben figs during a PPO because, for one reason or another, they couldn't get into the PPO.

Also, it is really bad form to refer to PMs. You see, the P in PM stands for Private. :pow

I am glad you weren't offended. I think you're an OK guy.

And thank you for the clarification. I took your PMs as both investigative and venting.

I never expected Sideshow to accomodate my work schedule. I never, ever would expect that. That's just stupid. I just find it in bad form to set a date for something and then jump it for a select group of people. That doesn't seem proper to me.

If I can't get the exclusive, so be it. I'll order elsewhere and save some cash. It still doesn't change my perspective that it's bad form to jump the date like that.

In case you weren't around last year the same thing happened with all of the 1/6 SW figures that were announced at SDCC. Some of them were limited, and some were inclusive. However, there was seemingly not increase in people not being able to get the exclusive figures... I don't think that a huge majority of the figures have been sold off.

And even if they have, it seems like a huge amount get converted via the waitlist and every figure (with the exception of the Luke Exc) has been pretty easy to find at cost afterwards.

I understand your confusion Sithlord... because it came up last year too. But in reality it made no difference in the long run.

I don't know you. That doesn't mean that your posts aren't showing you one way even if you're totally the other.

Never said I wanted the same playing grounds for things related to the convention.

Your posts say otherwise.

As for not enjoying the coverage? I enjoyed the written reports and helped with the coverage for Yodasnews.com. Who do you think did the graphics and busted their *** getting a review done for Sidious in time for the height of SDCC?

Well, I covered the show and busted my ass while being there for Sandtroopers. So lets see you covered a show you where not at for free and want the same playing terms compared to me who PAID to go and cover the show.

As for me "whining" instead of venting, I'd be done with this if you hadn't gotten belligerent. You're always preaching about being entitled to opinions. Well this one's mine. Take it for what you want, but don't get personal with me.

I have done no such thing. However, I'm gonna keep making the points as you keep making yours. I didn't get personal. I said nothing about your job, your wife, or anything like that. I said that your posts make it appear as if you want your cake and eat it too. That's just my opinion.

I am a nice guy. I only vent to my Kurgan brothers.

I seriously hope you can gnab it. I am starting a new job soon (hopefully) that will also take me away from PPOs. So don't think I don't understand your frustration, at least. I think we all do.

Then nothing I said will change your mind about your perception of me. It's unfortunate, but so be it. I personally think you were looking for a fight, but that's just my opinion. So be it.

And the fact that you covered the show for Sandtroopers has no bearing here. I wasn't arguing that you didn't do anything for the show. I mentioned my involvement over your comment that I didn't "enjoy" the coverage and "why am I not surprised?" I was busy helping to cover the show in a limited capacity.

And again, agree to disagree. I think you got personal with me. Are you going to tell me I'm wrong for seeing things a certain way? What if I were to say that to you?

Just a thought.
