Best iron man statue for around 300.

I don't have an iron man in my collection and I would love to add one. I am more attached to the classic iron man costume, more pre Robert Downey, but I would be ok with getting one of the movie ones. I would like 1/4 or 1/5. I prefer 1/5 but it seems there is dwindling support for it, which makes it seem harder to keep a cohesive collection going forward...

Any suggestions from you guys? I really like action poses or ones that tell a story. I like the ground pound comiquette but can't find one for under 400. There have been so many releases that it's hard to sort through the options. Advice please!

I am not a fan of that statue. I don't really like the museum poses or just stand there poses. I will try to keep an eye out for the ground smash comiquette. Thanks for the suggestions!

Even though the ground punch has dropped significantly in price, you'll be hard pressed to find it in the $300 range unless it has massive damage to it. It is an AWESOME statue though so good luck scoring one. I love mine and that's the only SSC Iron man statue I think I'll ever own. Watch out for recasts though. Recasts of this statue are abundant and is what caused the aftermarket prices to drop significantly. There are lots of fakes of these floating around out there.

The ground punch is my favorite by far. Very cool looking and dynamic. I actually purchased a stealth IM and had it repainted red and gold by a pro (Ickwinzs). I also had the red lenses swapped out and replaced with yellow ones. When I got it back from Rick I was floored. I then took the base to a Wizard World Comic Con and had it signed by Stan. To this day it is one of my most prized statues. The thing I find funny about the original red and gold COM is that SSC messed up his forearms on the EX and REG pieces. If you look at the original releases, the forearms are painted gold instead of red. I had Rick correct that when he repainted my SIM. Regardless of the mistake, it still looks fantastic.

Then wait for the avengers mk VII to possibly come out. Other than that, your not getting the maquette for 3-4 hundred. I can't think of anything else.

I will keep my eye out. I am aware that most statues are going to cost over 400 no matter what now. So I would be ok with that, if it's awesome. Heck, I already have like 3000 in preorders coming up...

You can find the older statues for around 300 but the movie statues you wont find for 300 or 400.

Mark 42 armor statue is going to be released to day from sideshow but still not in the 300 range.

Well they may release a hulkbuster suit for Avengers 2. Would look good with a Hulk.

I personally like the 42 maquette but I know I'll wait for the Avengers 2 stuff.

Im gonna get the MK3 or maybe the MK7 when those come out. I'm glad I can get one of those for retail rather than the older ones for after market price. The new ones look awesome. Love the Legacy effects.
