:waveSup guys,
Thinking about picking up the wolverine comm...what is a good price to pay for the EX???... And is it worth it???

You should be able to pick up the EX for about $400-$450 shipped.

Oh yeah, it is definitely worth it. It's my favorite Wolverine statue.

I already know I'm in the minority on this one...but even though the SS comiquette looks fine, it didn't stand out to me like the PF did. This guy is lunging straight at you with his metal claws! So after researching Koto, other statue sites, message boards, eBay, etc., and knowing that whatever I chose I'd have to pay aftermarket price since I missed all of them, the PF is what I decided to buy.

Th 90s X-Men PFs are using x-bases. Only Cyclops and Wolverine aren't on an X, so it's the perfect excuse to do a Wolverine PF in the much loved John Byrne Brown costume at some point. The potential is there to look cool...

Koto Danger Room Wolvie is the best, it shows him as he should be: short, stocky and muscled.

I think it's one of the better options, but I also think it's too stocky and muscular. He looks lumpy in the way a lot of their earlier Marvel statues were (the Fall of the Hulks statues most notably). It always seemed like there was a bit of a learning curve in dealing with superhero physiques for a company experienced mainly with anime characters and Star Wars, but the newer Marvel statues have gotten much better.

I have to go with the pf as it was my first one and still looks awesome on the shelf. And the fact that it has a companion sabre tooth is a bonus too

well this is the best Logan/Wolverine statue period

imo

got his eyes painted nice though by a professional model painter so they aren't just black

even if you don't count size, the LSF is by far the best Wolvie ever made to date in my book.

The cheezy cloth just kills the Wolvie and Sabretooth PF for me. I just can't get over it.

A lot of people feel that way and it's ok. But the people who hate the "pajama" look, or an extensive use of cloth on PFs as if cloth weren't the point, make it seem as if there isn't a large enough audience for it simply because they don't like it. It's because that segment of collectors, no matter how large or not, is very vocal. That's ok too, but this thread proves not everyone is clammoring for 1/4 fully sculpted. After reading other threads I didn't realize people aside from me (amount unknown) do like the Wolverine PF.

But regardless of any scale & format, a lot of people just want a cool looking statue, however and whatever that turns out to be.

I think if Sabretooth was fully sculpted he would have sold out way faster and both of them would be grails down the line. jmo.

Because of the LSF Wolvie, I don't ever see the 1/4 pf ever going above the $1k mark, and since the pf came out, the comi went down quite a bit.
