Been to Ikea three times in the last four days :gah:

Thought this looked pretty cool for you 'Toy' collectors...

Is that the 12" one? I bought a few of those but they don't seem to fit figures very well. I ended up putting books and some of my work files in them instead.

Galant - nice stuff. works for 1/6 too if you remove the middle shelf - 14.25" interior height, a little bit less than a Detolf shelf.

Could anyone provide a link for a cabinet that I can order online that would be appropriate for storing and displaying 1/4 scale figures and 1/6 figures? I know the information is probably in here but I didn't know which page to check. I was planning on getting the superman premium format statue from sideshow and I also have a few hot toys that I wanted to throw in there.

Swapped all my Glassvik hinges... Loving the soft close mechanism.

Now, on reflection, I prefer the Glassvik over the new Sindvik.

The soft close mechanism, do you mean that device that you put on the opposite side of the hinges that requires you to push the door to close it?

No that's the push open gadget. I bought some months ago but found them useless.
You need them to protrude a couple of mill to work which I didn't like.

The new hinges are 'Soft Close' meaning the doors will never slam shut... Love 'em :D

Blum calls the soft-close "Blumotion" and you can buy clip-on parts to retrofit the older modul hinges that don't have them built in.

Cool. Those are the new ones that they sell separately now? Are there different kinds to look out for or is it the only one?

Can I buy the soft close hinges separate and retrofit my current besta setup and doors?

You can buy them, but you may or may not need different screws or different sized holes in your cabinet to fit the stock screws if they're different.

You could also always buy the same/similar hinges and soft close blu-motion adapters at Home Depot and/or Lowes, etc.. for those in the US. Anyone in Europe can hit up any Blum stockist.
