I can tell you that both Mr. Ecko and myself have DX12 showcased against a black cave-like backdrop, so you can look at our images at least to get a feel for how the figure looks inside a dark cavity. ;)

Will do, thanks!

Yours had the big Bat symbol diorama on a rock-like background right? I apologize, I've seen so many different displays at this point, I've forgotten whose is who's... haha

That setup looks fantastic! I like how everything is nicely lit--great job on the lighting.
Thanks pal!

Nice optimus! How did you hide the wiring for the lights on the tall shelves?
Thanks!
Drilled a hole straight out the back and hid the wire in a rubber "cable-hider" with adhesive on the back. Attached the "cable-hider" at the ceiling of the shelf.

What cable-hider and adhesive did you use? I was thinking about using white gaffing tape but I'm not sure if that's the right one.

This is what they look like.
Bare in mind, these pieces are just whats left over. They come in 1 meter pieces normally.
The company is called Cablefix (I think).
The adhesive is already on it when you buy it. All ready to go! :)

As you can see, they are very soft.
This was the smaller one I could find. They also make them for bigger/thicker cables.
Hope this helps! :wave

Cool thanks! Where do you get/order these? I googled it and found their site, inofix, but there's no option to place an order.

I bought them at a local electrical / home-appliance store.
You could also probably find them i any DIY or hardware stores, perhaps even hifi stores...

Hey there, still working on organizing my shelf. Was wondering if I could get some opinions and suggestions for my layout. I'm trying to organize it so you would be able to see the pieces through the window.

I want to maximize what I can put on display so I wanted to put the Batpod with the DX11 diorama since I wouldn't be able to fit figures on top or under the diorama due to the space it takes up. However, for the Batpod to show, it starts to become a tight fit as well, as seen in the pics. I was wondering, should i just give the diorama it's own unit and let the Batpod share one with a half shelf that could hold 3-4 figures?

The way I tried to fit the Batpod with the diorama was I used glass shelves instead of the thicker ones, and as you can see in the opened door photo, I tilted/slanted the glass shelf holding the Batpod up. I still can't get the cowl up unless I slant the Batpod at an angle. I was wondering if anyone had any pointers of how I could get this setup to work?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I agree, it fits, but it's tight. You can try removing the bottom sheet of glass, which will end up hiding part of the wheels, but will give more head room. Otherwise go with the other idea and split the shelves up, leaving the room on its own.

If you have the room elsewhere I would move the Batpod. It's a nice piece that needs a little room to show it off, especially with a figure on it. If you don't have another space, I would display it on that shelf by itself. You could always put the Batman figure on the diorama shelf above it.

Opinions aside, you should display it in a manner in which your comfortable with how it looks. If you're anything like me, you'll end up moving stuff around at some point anyway. Most of my collection has been rearranged a couple times to accommodate new figures.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'm most likely going to be moving things around, especially when that armory comes in, and then the signal and the new armory, etc. There was a nice street diorama for the batpod that I was thinking about getting but it is a bit pricey right now. I just wanted to get my figures in a dust-free environment.

The interrogation diorama looks weird on it's own since you can't put anything underneath it and it doesn't take up an entire window so there's a lot of empty space unused, so that's why I wanted to pair the 2 together for the time being, although I don't think anything else could really go with it to use up the space since the batpod is the only low figure that's short enough to fit. If there's a way to have it displayed nicely on it's own, I'd definitely try it out. I have to look at Shells display since I think he has the same shelf I do.

I actually found a way for it to work a little better, I'll post pics, but may still appear cramped. It allows me the other 2 units to fill with figures. Having the diorama on the top most shelf prohibits a viewer from seeing the desk and whatever is on it unless they were 6'6" so I moved everything to the 2nd unit with the same tilted shelves to accommodate both displays.

Omg I just left ikea and I managed to score those small silver and gray on discontinue for a buck but, even worse they are discontinuing tombo doors 60x64.

I love besta in my basement because of my drop down ceiling.

I'll send them an email to double check but a sad day because they quite nice for 1/4 scale.

Can anyone tell me if the single Besta cubes can be wall mounted and if it's safe to do so? I want to get some to display my 1/4 scale pieces, but I don't like the floor standing ones since the figures on the bottom cannot be seen well, so I wanted to mount a few of them at around eye level on the wall.

They can be mounted on a wall so long as the wall is strong enough to hold it. Not sure if you have to buy the wall mounts separately or not, but they can definitely be put up there.

Maybe they will come up with a new style to replace the TOMBO.

I'm gonna head to Ikea in the next week or so. I have 3 PFs to display (Batman, Joker, and Ivy).

Can someone please link me to what Besta I should go with for these pieces? Thank you!!
