Okay I am looking in to the bestas I have for a while . I own a detolf but to display my growing collection I need more space . I really like the besta cabinets that I have seen. I would like to be able to display 5-6 figures per Square can some one recommend the best cabinet for that . I am open to all ideas.

It seems to be moving the doors around, but the slant is still there, if you can see in the pictures, the doors are slanting down to the right. This is kind of like doing one of those puzzles in God of War or Borderlands where you're trying to get everything to match up, LOL I'm struggling to find which ones I'm supposed to adjust since when I get one side to level up on the top, the left hand side then looks slanted and what not.

The way I have mine set up, I think I can display up to 8 figures in a unit w/ a half shelf without it looking too crowded. 6-7 would be ideal, but I think it can fit the extra one if I wanted to. If don't mind the crowd, and I haven't tested this for large figures like DX10 or DX13 yet, but on the regular base, you can fit up to 16 in one unit with an extra full shelf.

If you want everything to line up, you'll have to make sure that the cabinet frame is square. Check that all the corners are 90 degrees. Without any tools like a square, you can measure both diagonals to make sure they're the same.

The feet on the cabinet and shims can be used underneath to compensate for any unevenness in the flooring which can cause a cabinet frame to skew.

My wife just got back from a weekend trip to ikea and got me 6 1x3 Bestas and 18 Tombo doors. IKEA was having a sale on bestas and the closest one is about 5 hours away so she filled up a van. Two are going in the living room, but four are for me to display my collection. I am crazy excited though I'm not looking forward to the hours it's going to take me to put them together and set up the lighting. I've got 6 detolfs that I need to set up lighting in as well. I hope it isn't going to be too frustrating to get everything the way I want. I'm setting up remotes for the lights as well. Should be an interesting week filled with many swear-words.

I used this one with 3 Vassbo doors

Wanted to get the double, basically 2 of these, would've saved me $16-$21 I think, but they didn't have any available and I didn't want to wait another year or however long for the IKEA Family sale on BESTAs so I just got 1 to see how it looks, and plan to get the 2nd one in the next 2 days. It'd be easier to move each anyways. Not sure if I should get a black one or not for my TDK figures...

Thanks for that tidbit pixel. So I dug up an old triangle from my architecture days and saw that the side walls are leaning towards the left. I tried raising the right 2 shims to try and angle the sides back towards the left with their weight, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Could those sides just not be screwed into correctly?

If something isn't screwed down tight enough you should be able to wobble the cabinet from side to side. You can double-check all the fasteners, but shimming should be able to fix the issue.

Check this… If you push the cabinet from one side (higher up) can you distort it yourself?

Okay, yes. From the inside, when I push against the left wall, it is shifting, and you can hear it sliding as well on the back thin panel. It's a few mm difference. I take it some screw somewhere isn't locked in well enough.

Can you correct/compensate for the amount it's out of alignment by pushing on the side of the cabinet?

I think so. If I push all the way to the left as much as a can, the right angle on the triangle looks like it is aligned, at least on the top shelf/unit. I haven't tested the bottom yet, but I assume it would since the left wall goes all the way down 3 units. I'm not sure which part/screw is causing it to slant over towards the right. I'd assume it's at the base.

It's weird, I feel like it's not a huge enough angle to cause the doors/windows to have to be so misaligned and slanted in order to match the shelf, but I could be wrong as I'm not expert in this. Playing around with the doors/windows, I can get it to almost be parallel to the top of the shelf, but the left side, where the hinges are, is uneven since I have to adjust the lower hinge and move it closer depth-wise to "push" the top right of it up to align parallel.

Is there a way to view all images associated with a particular thread? That would be a great feature. But anyway…

Your best bet (otherwise) is to use Google image search and try keyword collections like the following:

batman "hot toys" besta
hot toys dx12 besta
batman dx12 besta

That would be a really nice feature. Sometimes all I want to do is look at pictures. :)

Right? Like a nice GALLERY VIEW for a thread. Tapatalk will show you all the pictures on a single page (the current page) of a thread, but then you can't switch pages unless you close the image viewer. Ugh.

^^^ I totally agree! That's a great idea. Would make looking at pictures a lot easier.

I did a google specific site search for sideshowcollectors.com but they didn't really show any in BESTAs, mostly detolfs where the glass panels affect the lighting somewhat. Most of black/brown BESTA images have 1/4 figures or statues in them, but it's no big deal really. Was just wondering if anyone had them so I could take a look at how the lighting plays against the Batman figures.
