BESTA love and idea thread

Hey guys it may have been answered before so forgive me, what can the TOP portion of a double besta hold? What's the weight limit?

I want to use the top portion of the Besta to hold the 1:3 line of MK from PCS. Scorpion is around 22 lbs. So figure around 70 pounds since sub zero and reptile are basically confirmed at this point.

That's not specified. But if you're spreading the load over the entire top evenly, you can expect a couple hundred pounds+ safely.

Putting statues on it should be of no concern.

And I fixed the problem. I went ahead and painted 1 Tombo door, black. I didn't like the silver, I always thought it stood out too much. Black they are becoming and I'm loving it. Basically, they look seamless. I'll get up photos once all of them are done. I've only painted one so far.

Just switched my Vassbo to Glassvik.
Think the Glassvik make for a much better display window. Look great with the room lights on but too reflective to get a decent picture...

Figured I would show off my entertainment center setup. The lighting looks better in person believe me. I spent a few hours drilling out the tops of the besta units as well as the top center section. The other side of the room where I have my billies will have to wait on pics until I have the lighting figured out.

I really like your set-up. Are the end units stacked 1x1 besta and the unit across the top 2x1 besta?

Another question...

Anyone know of a glass case or tank that fits the bestas top dimensions? Thinking of buying a glass display case to stick on top to prevent dust. No more than 30 or so inches tall.

I got lazy. Haven't come close to finishing but here's some in-between shots. The doors in the middle have all been painted black. I still have to do the insides. Which is super easy.

Now for a 3rd shelf and a forward extension. Gotta switch out the Vassbos for Tombos too and get lights in the 2nd one.
