I liked it. The tone is supposed to be much lighter than BB. I'm already pulling for Jimmy/Saul/Gene.

Also, don't expect to see too much of Mike. And I wonder if bro Chuck makes it through the show.

Yup, another fantastic episode. You know it's good when it feels like an episode is flying by. I always knew Saul had a heart, but it was cool to see Saul spare those skate boarding bros when he could have just left them.

Good to see Gonzo and No-Doze.

It's been formulaic since the beginning of storytelling. Make him a down-on-his-luck kind of guy and everyone will get behind him and root for him. :) I felt pretty bad for the guy after learning his office is his apartment as well :lol Same thing with Walt, his cancer and drive to do what he did for his family made me root for the bad guy. I wonder how many seasons they are planning this for.

PS: WOWzas! Who's that in your sig, and avatar??!!

I also like how his experience in the desert seemed to make him suddenly realize he was actually a really good lawyer...and yea, he could have just left them, but that's not Saul. Even in BB, he always had a heart, and stuck his neck out on more than one occasion for Walt and Jesse. The tone fits with the character here.

I also really like how they are setting up the situation with Mike. Instead of him being some guy he randomly meets once through some bizarre coincidence, he's a guy that Saul sees every day, over and over, and only notices because of their contentious relationship. It's a very smart way to set it up, and much less deus ex machina than it could have been.

I liked pretty much everything. Remember, BB started off very light and used a lot of comedy at first to ease Jesse and Walt into bigger and crazier things. I do hope they avoid overusing Tuco now. What would be ideal, would be this new 3rd guy we never saw in BB, getting into this heist or w/e w/ Saul and then Tuco back in the finale maybe kills him for going his own way. But aside from that, build new characters and relationships from here. Shouldn't be a problem.

Also, I hope that the show is short. Maybe three seasons at most, but it should definitely be shorter and more focused than BB to keep Saul both interesting and also to keep him from eventually overshadowing Walt when you go back and watch BB.

It feels very much like a Grand Theft Auto expansion pack/dlc if that makes sense, which is a very good thing.

Gilligan and Gould probably laid on the loserdom a bit too thick in the first episode, but we got to see Saul bust out the lawyer chops during that montage in the second episode.

It's Katy Perry from an SNL skit.

Yep. This show will get a lot darker, but I hope it isn't as dark as BB. It'd be one way to differentiate between the two series.

We're going to see Saul "break bad." I just hope Chuck doesn't get offed in the process, even though I find his scenes a little tedious. :lol

Great avy and sig, man. :duff

The scenes with Chuck are a little slow. I guess he's supposed to be a foil to Jimmy? He's brilliant, talented and principled, but troubled. And Jimmy's eventually going to turn his back on him?

Really? A lot happened. Saul almost died, saved those kids, realized he's a good lawyer, tried a ton of cases and set up his break with that guy who left his card/number. Nice Tuco and Mike cameos. I mean, the guys a lawyer who's still on the straight path. Not cooking drugs and murdering people yet.

"The only way that entire car is worth 500 bucks is if there's a 300 dollar hooker sitting in it."

I'm really loving this show so far! :lol

I really thought the two of them were goners.

If Tuco had been hyped up on meth, they would have been dead. He was really laid back considering what will eventually happen in Breaking Bad. :lol
