Oh I know, on the one hand I'm really not okay with the direction that they took these previously heroic characters but on the other hand I freaking love that they dared to break these characters and just leaned into it 250%.

TLJ Luke turning on his saber for half a second seems downright saintly at this point, lol.

Movies like RoboCop, Deadpool, The Suicide Squad or shows like The Boys show how truly terrifying and gory a world with super-powered beings would actually be and MOM gave us that in the MCU. I'm more than a little unsettled by it but after the perfect closure of the Infinity Saga "a little unsettled" was a fun new thing to experience watching these characters.

Wanda fighting the Illuminati is how Thanos taking on the Avengers in Wakanda would have ended if that battle occurred in the real world. Yikes! But super crazy and awesome, lol.
My take on this is that on IW Thanos did not want to kill more than he needed to because he felt he was saving the universe. In IW, he only tried to kill Tony (whom he felt was his biggest threat at the time).

Wanda on the other hand, has always been going all-in in her fights. In CW, she called out Clint for pulling his punches. She was doing this to people she knew, some of whom she's lived with. I'm not surprised she was this brutal to people she didn't know.

I do however think that Wanda was pulling her own punches against Strange and Wong.

Actually EG Thanos specifically said it was now 100% personal and he was going to wipe out 100% of life and start from scratch off their ashes lol

Well EG Thanos did try to kill them all. He just didn't have the Infinity Stones like in IW so the Avengers had more of a chance this time around.

There was the one trailer that was a complete misdirection where they show Carter’s shield being thrown at Strange and then make it seem like it impaled into the wall right in front of him.

It was not that at all lol

We've literally watched
Patrick Stewart's Xavier get killed three times now, he's becoming Kenny from South Park, lol. Twice now at the hands of psycho mutant chicks who were once good, lol. Like with Richards a totally bizarre introduction to the MCU but also like Richards totally awesome regardless, lol.
I said the exact same thing a few pages ago!

omg! They killed Xavier! You *******s!

Watching DS1 right now and holy crap I forget that the ancient one touches Strange on his forehead and tells him to open his eyes then sends him flying! :horror

I really like his arc here. Where from DS1 all the way to this movie, he and his variants have all felt like they had to be the one hero to save everyone. In DS1, The Ancient One even has to tell him it wasn't about him.

In IW, I'd argue Thanos got the Time Stone because Strange would not let Iron Man handle it and instead bring the stone to a safer place/realm. Instead, he had to fight Ebony straight-on and got captured as a result. This lead to the events of EG where IM eventually had to make the sacrifice play.

In What IF, DS had to save Christine, which ended up destroying his entire universe.

In NWH, Strange created that incursion event because he thought he had the solution to Peter's problems. He did not even make time to discuss with Peter the details of the problem and his recklessness almost resulted to the destruction of their reality.

And here in DS2, Defender Strange betrayed Chavez because he felt only he can control her power. Supreme Strange felt only he can defeat Thanos so he used the Darkhold to dream-walk through various realities, ending up in destroying one. Sinister Strange ended up so unhappy that he had to go to different realms as well, and ended up just killing his variants.

This Doctor Strange was the only one to break that cycle, by having faith in Chavez.

Alternate ending leaked, lol.

My son’s jaw was on the ground.

I was like holy crap you just got your Evil Dead 1 movie HEY how about that SURPRISE!!! lol

He was like “Dad Captain Marvel got crushed to death!” as you see her blood oozing from under the concrete!

My wife was like WTF is going on is this the same MCU with Antman humor lol
I've been waiting to discuss this death. That seemed a really odd way for her to die. Refresh my memory - was she unconscious prior to that huge pillar falling on her? If not and assuming Maria's Earth-838 CM is imbued with the same cosmic energy from the Tesseract as is Earth-616's Carol Danvers, there's no way she should die that way. She can fly through the vacuum of space without the need of oxygen, fly through huge spaceships (first Kree ships, then Thanos's Sanctuary II) without so much as a scratch and survive a Power Stone assisted punch to the face from Thanos, but a bit of concrete/marble takes her out? I call B.S. :lol

I did say “doh!” when they showed that the Illuminati killed Thanos

I think Wanda added additional crushing and tickling damages :horror

There seems to be a view that Wanda depowered her.

But given that so many people aren’t sure, they must not have conveyed that clearly.

You must have missed the part where Reed tells Wanda that CM can easily kill her as long as she isn't covered by concrete, lol.

There's a deleted scene where Reed tells Wanda that CM can easily kill her as long as she isn't covered by concrete, lol.
There’s also another deleted scene of RR being dropped off at his Baxter building on a short bus.

The guy who can stretch rides a vehicle which requires minimal stretching, makes sense lol

Krasinski must be thrilled to see that his RR is now viewed as the MCU hero who's just a little bit special. Hemsworth must be loving this - his Thor is no longer the dimmest Avenger lol...

Maybe the writers got confused as to what RR stood for and just asked themselves "what would the guy who invented the Vespa Gang say to Wanda"?

I can’t believe he agreed to be introduced in such a weak manner.

Has any other MCU character intro been shown to be such a careless baffoon I mean he was even warned that she was coming for blood lol

I’m serious can you come up with any other introduction that was this ineffective at mitigating a threat lol
