"I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you!"
"That's nice, did I ever tell you what Reva did to me when I was 10?"
I’m about two episodes away of giving up hope that this show will ever acknowledge that Luke exists anymore ..no wonder Chow didn’t direct any of the Luke Mando episodes :nono

This is beyond worse than Johnson making Luke a sorry hobo loser , this show is erasing Luke from SW lore

” We don’t care about Luke “

That was the goofiest episode yet.

When REEEva yelled "THEN ADMIT YOU'RE A SPY" like a gremlin I had to pause the show because I was laughing so hard.

As @chrisstbh said, I think this would have worked best as a solid 2 hour film.
that goes for every Disney+ show. I think almost every one of them was originally a movie script that got stretched way out with a load of filler then chopped up to create a series.

Season 1 of Mando if edited down to remove the cringe scenes and filler while trimming down some of the longer scenes would result in a very nice tight movie. It was obvious that it was born out of the scrapped Boba Fett movie. IIRC early concept art had Boba holding up Grogu.

Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki etc on the Marvel side definitely felt like extended movie scripts with a lot of filler scenes. Wouldn't be surprised if they were re-worked from movie screenplays. We know for sure there was behind the scenes chaos on at least Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier with last minute re-writes etc.

Season 2 of Mando felt the same as season 1, like if all the filler/detours/cringe were edited out then it would be a very good 2 hour movie, no idea if it was a film script or if it was just written that way to re-create season 1's success.

BOBF is an exception in that it did not feel like a movie script stretched out but rather it felt like a subplot from a TV show stretched to tearing point, which kinda makes sense since I think when season 3 of Mando was sent into production chaos (with Gina firing and re-writes) they took what could be used (episodes 5 and 6) and then cheaply threw together the Boba storyline to get a show out cheap and fast while they were re-working season 3. Season 3 of Mando could be the first properly written for tv (not big screen) story so maybe might feel less stretched out. At least I hope.

Kenobi feels like a movie script re-written to add in filler and cartoon references then chopped up to create a show, which we kinda don't need to speculate on since we know Kenobi was originally set to be a movie but got the ol' Disney+ downgrade

Struggling to think of anything nice to say about this episode.
Yep. That's about all I have to say about this one.
Only 2 episodes left right?
