Haven’t you heard of the ANH ESB purists? To them they don’t believe in episode numbers because PT started that and ANH is just called Star Wars. They don’t even count ROTJ as canon. ;p
As much as I love Empire Strikes Back, it’s the source of all this BS.

I love the simplicity of Star Wars, I kinda wish it ended after the destruction of the Death Star and the ceremony on Yavin in 1977.

Hate also kept Vader alive. Sorry you don’t like the explanation but dark siders surviving lethal injuries has been around forever. Look up Darth Sion too who has been so deconstructed over time from injuries that his body is only held together by his will and the force.
Just because something's been around for a while doesn't make it good, though. And it certainly doesn't make for good writing to re-use a lame idea or storytelling device.

If the next Disney+ series establishes that every bowel movement diminishes Force sensitivity, I wouldn't applaud someone 20 years from now for writing a SW show where the ultimate Jedi got that way by being constipated for several years.

It's too bad that Padme died of broken heart disease before Anakin learned about the trick to immortality via the power of hate. Then he forgot it again when he stabbed Reva and left her there to stew in her hate with knowledge of his true identity.

*sigh*

At this point, does it even matter anymore? :lol Star Wars is one big dumpster fire under Disney.

It's too hot for me me to think about anything useful and anyway it's a holiday weekend in the U.S. - so in thinking about it, maybe it's just Disney is too much for us. Too cunning. This is an organization that can get you to spend 40$ on a T-shirt.

Like, I noticed after the ST, I appreciated the PT so much more, and developed a new reverence for the OT. Now, I look fondly back at the days of Boba, with a new appreciation to its daring use of candy rangers:monkey3 and let's face it, whatever u think of the BOBF finale, it was insane. Never a dull moment. :lol

So Disney gets ya coming and going. If you're a collector u suddenly realize you're not gonna be picking up a Reva fig 'coz she's boring, and who wants an Obi on the shelf who looks like he's having a panic attack, but all of a sudden I've got funds freed up to pick up Fennec AND another Boba. 'Coz now I'm looking at BOBF like the Silver Age (after the Golden Age of Mando).:lol

Disney probably has internal memos calling it the Dumpster File Protocol. Told Chow & co. to make the lamest show possible, 'coz any Vader is gonna sell, but they needed to move more Boba figures.:nana:

:yess: :clap

Everything you say is absolutely true and for all who hate RR's instincts it cannot be denied that he's one hell of a cinematic director.

BOBF finale is spectacularly bonkers and makes Obi-Wan's continued adventures in the caves of Land of the Lost paler and paler by comparison with each new episode.

But nevertheless with the way things are going even Reva will have her time in "the good ol' days" after we see whatever is in store for the future, lol.

If Vader up and killed her this episode I would have ended up genuinely liking both her and her tragic story. As of now I simply don't hate her which is still something I never thought I'd feel, lol.

I'm confused why they didn't de-age Hayden for the flashback scenes but regardless it was a welcome treat and it shocked me to realize that in all of live-action SW we had never witnessed a Jedi teaching his apprentice how to duel with a lightsaber until now. So that alone was awesome. And then regardless of how old HC looked it was great to see them back in their AOTC days again.

Hell neither of my kids were even alive when the PT was released so it was a treat to see new footage of those two in their prime (so to speak) with them.

Did anyone notice how impactful this moment was

Think about the decision and mindset Obi was in the final duel with Anakin..now we know Obi didn’t have to choose dismemberment on Anakin. He could’ve used the force instead to disarm Anakin instead :horror

Perhaps Obi thought the only way out was to dismember Anakin

Obi truly was the one of the best Jedi

Or the super dark implications of Vader using that move on Reva meaning that Obi-Wan literally helped perfect the fighting craft of a Sith Lord!

I guess that’s what a Jedi‘s judgement comes into question on what their final decision makes an impact .

That’s why Luke was special from what Yoda taught him

Vader's electronic box prevents him from doing consecutive power moves. He has a long cool down period hence can't pull Obi-Wan from the fire a second time, can't destroy a ship for a second time, and can't finish Reva.
Is this for real? Is this in some stupid comic book or something?

Or is this the Disney apologists making up explanations for them? Rationalizing all the BS they do/say.. :dunno

I finally got caught up on the last two episodes. I’ll watch the finale but have no interest in ever rewatching this series, just like with BOBF. Whereas I’ve watched both seasons of Mando three times already. But I don’t really even have the energy to discuss the things I don’t like about this show. I just find it overall to be very dull. Would have preferred just an entire series of Obi-Wan training Anakin. Why again is “wanting to win” considered such a character flaw again? Ah, whatever.

There. That’s my review of the show.

Not even so bad it's good. It's just very meh.

That's just me channeling my inner Deborah Chow, Robert Rodriguez, etc. 🤣 no such thing, man.
