Given how the Obi-Wan series is not going to be as prolonged as Mandalorian, I don't see much opportunity to include Hayden as post-ROTS Vader, you could in theory show things taking place with the Empire and have scene of Vader unmasked through it, but otherwise, he's only be the guy in the suit and why bother bringing him back to take on essentially a stunt man's role.

I would wager his part will be more for flashback, probably a scene or set of scenes that show their friendship and tie to showing the pain Obi-Wan is living with over what happened.

This is such a waste this should have been a movie . It has the potential to be so so epic vader hunting down remaining jedi and obi hiding from him.

I think Vader should have had his own movie he is by far the best villian in any franchise.

Isn't this "limited series" kind of like a movie? Seems similar to the JLA Snyder cut to me. I like the idea of a Vader focused movie or series about him hunting down Jedi though!

Darth Dennis, I completely agree with you. It's an extended movie that has been broken down into serial format so that can keep the money maker Disney+ going. Movies are too risky right now especially after they were burned on Solo, which took place in the same period. I bet Disney / LF still think that Prequel Trilogy spin-offs (which this and to an extent Solo was) won't make bank (which is ludicrous!).

One has to wonder though, will Disney mishandle the timing of these releases and fatigue the world on Star Wars to the point things start to bomb. Star Wars has a history of being generational and spread out so much that there was time for new fans to come along and be excited about something new. At some point, if Disney overlaps too many shows and movies, it's all going to hit the same fans and they could very well tire of it. Taking a franchise that started with 1 movie every 3 years and moving to a point of having seasons of shows and multiple shows star or air in the same year will eventually bite them.

Glad to see Hayden coming back. This has the potential to be some of the best live-action Star Wars content since Revenge of the Sith.

My feeling is that Hayden will appear in either flashbacks, unmasked vader segments, or as a vision that haunts/taunts Obi-Wan. Or a combination of all three.

Interesting to see Hayden back. He'll probably be in flashbacks and/or in juxtaposed scenes to show the contrasts of where the two are at this point in their lives.
While JEJ's voice is iconic, it's due to the breathing mask not aging. So it can still be Hayden's voice with the helmet off.
Disney will no doubt be gauging fan and critical reaction for a potential Vader spinoff series.

You see this is why a-dev is such a key component to this entire PT vs ST debate

a-dev hates the ST.

Yet nothing but respect for a-dev comes from ST supporters like me, Khev, JAWS and even *ajp who prefers Rian ST direction over JJ ST.

On the scene from ANH when Vader confronts Obiwan, there?s this very subtle flash of a surprised look that Alec Guinness gives Vader, as if he?s seeing him for the first time - like ?is THAT what you?ve become?? If they really do fight in the flesh in this one, then the impact of that scene in ANH is lessened.

Would be great to see ROTS expanded even more. Or Clone Wars flashbacks. Otherwise, why bring back HC? He is Anakin/Armorless Vader, not Vader in the suit.

Actually they are using HC likeness a lot in the Vader comics to show flashbacks to humanize Vader, they can use him to show how broken is Obi Wan in flashbacks. I would love to see a younger Anakin in his padawan days after TPM way before AOTC
