As we approach a month before release, I'm just hoping they don't move that release date into the future yet again.

I just hope the promised improvements in paint apps actually rings true whenever it does end up shipping. I can handle the waiting, just as long as the final product is actually worth it in the end. Here's hoping...

So I decide to cancel this after paying it off(just wanting to get out of most 1/6 and really dissatisfied with their tardis handling) and these *******s not only keep the NRD, but only refunded me at the current exchange rate and not what I paid in dollars

I'm sorry but we do not reimburse customers as a result of the circumstances related to the current fall in the pound sterling as we would not expect customer to reimburse Big Chief for losses as the result of our company losses against costs result from the rise in the dollar. Our manufacturing costs are all in dollars and we would not expect our customer to subsidise for these company costs. We just have to take the losses it's a figment of international trade. The currencies of all the countries we trade with are continually fluctuating. regards Terry

Well, NRD does stand for "non-refundable deposit", emphasis on the non-refundable... Rarely does a company actually refund the NRD as well.

As far as the exchange rate, BCS was paid in GBP, not in USD. The dollar amount you paid was based on the exchange rate. So it makes perfect sense they'd refund you based on the GBP they received, not the USD you paid. For example, if an international customer buys something from you in USD and wants a refund, you'd offer the refund in USD, not based on whatever he/she paid after currency conversion. It sucks when you have to deal with fluctuating currencies, but that's the nature of international purchases.

Yeah, I wasn't questioning the NRD. I just don't find it right that I gave them more than they gave me in return, but thanks for the explanation. Anyway, I guess it's a small price to pay not having to deal with BCS anymore

I'm holding onto my order, but I'm not exactly optimistic about what the final product is going to look like. And I'm now starting to worry about what they might do to that beautiful Clara sculpt as well... :(

I really hated the series 4 tennant. I sent him back and got a complete refund. The only problem is they dont refund any of the postage costs so i was out of pocket by about £20 for something that was sub par and faulty. I hate bcs and will never buy from them again.

They treat customers poorly and their QC is just as bad. I had to go through 2 tardis' before it was at a decent level.

I expect that 9s paint work will still need to be repainted to bring it up to par. If you really have to buy these figs, my advice, wait to see in hand pics first before giving them any money.

remember when they were all upset over peeps insulting their products on Fb? saw one of the staff be equally insulting and rude when commenting on that threezero halloween figure and seeing that obvious hypocrisy drove me up the wall. jeeeebus
:gah:

anyways do hope 9 looks good inhand did not PO but if cool would reluctantly consider to go with my other docs.

:exactly: Yep I'm a bit concerned now too...:(

While Dr. Who really clicked with me starting with 10 (I suppose I'm a nuwho heathen in that regard), I sort of feel like I should complete the four new doctors just to have a complete set. But, I can't see 9 selling out anytime soon, especially if the excellent 11 and 12 are both significantly discounted now, which is what I would prefer to wait for with 9.

Given the discounts now on those two figures I am seriously considering doing this with the future releases from this line.

What is the last figure BC released and when was it? At this point I think they are just going to forget everything else and focus on Bond. That means forget Clara, Captain Jack, and forget Penny Dreadful and the other lines. This company has way too many irons in the fire for it's size.

I'm inclined to agree.

I get that they want to add some licences but there is nothing wrong with a smaller company like this to just stick with the Doctor Who line. There's so many characters left to explore and I'm sure many would buy every Doctor. Bond is a huge undertaking. How many people are working for the company, do you happen to know?
