Er...is that the right way around? I still have branded on my brain that "You people spend all day messing about on the internet and kvetching whilst we do real work. Come and spend a day doing real work and see how you like it" type crud from a while back. Lucky we haven't seen any more of those for a while. Not designed to make customers and influence people.

:lol The 'They' Cappy referred to are the bunch of sorry jokers from C.O. :lol

Yes indeed, CO are the 'sorry jokers' of the Who world, not awesome, saintly BC.

And kvetching... what a word! I use it as a nuclear option on my wife, just one step below 'ballbreaker' on those (rare) occasions when she decides to chew my ***** off because I haven't painted something/ fixed something fast enough for her.

Well, to be fair, they would have had a point but the recent skintone problems just don't seem to support their statement. :lol

A point? Yeah, only people who piss about on the internet all day can afford their high-priced action figures. I wonder if they understand how hard we work to get the money needed to buy their products and how most of us need to count every penny at the moment and feel frustrated if we blow our small stash of discretionary money on something that doesn't turn out so well. It doesn't sound it.

OK. I'll stop kvetching. :lol

I'm not TOO worried about the skin tone (yet, at least) because I'm planning on getting a repaint, but what I'm frustrated about is the lack of a straight answer regarding the release date. I want - correction, NEED - to plan my funds accordingly, and I'd like just a rough idea of when they're expecting this to be released. Considering how far along the figure appears to be, I don't get how we can't have at least a very rough estimate.

I understand this is fairly common in the figure collecting world, but it's so dang frustrating.

Well they did provide a fairly good payment plan option. Pretty easy to budget around that over the course of 3 months than to try to rummage up the cash within a few weeks.

That's not really my point, though. I just want a release date estimate - and it can be SUPER rough. I just want to know if we're talking, like, a few months at this point, or if it could be 5+ months.

I don't feel comfortable making payment plans if they then sit on my money for 3-6 months afterwards. Sideshow changes the payment schedule when their products get delayed. BC shouldn't be taking money without a firm release date.

I can't comment on the payment plan options but I too would love to know when this is coming. Maybe they're worried about criticism if it doesn't arrive before Christmas? Personally, I don't care how long it takes but having an ETA would be REALLY helpful.

Having waited this long I'd be happy for it to arrive after Christmas - it would be better from a financial point of view for me and it would really brighten up the bleakest time of the year!

I want the figure sooner than later, but for those worried about planning their budget wouldn't a pretty easy solution be to plan as if it arrives sooner than later and then if its later you have the funds aside? Really should have began budgeting for this at announcement. If your finances are hinging on $150 difference between Dec or Feb you may want to reconsider this purchase altogether. I agree about company run payment plans. Why should I give them money to hold onto for a indefinite time? I have a savings account, I can fund myself without giving bozos my money.

Hey, thanks for the financial advice. I never thought of setting money aside for it in advance. What a great idea!

But seriously, next time you want to patronise someone, patronise someone in your own country. And if I was one of those 'bozos' I don't think I'd want your money.

The last I remember was just that both 4 & 10 would see release before the holidays. :dunno I was just hoping someone had heard a more specific answer.

You have a savings accounts and good for you, so do I. What has that got to do with collecting figures? If I am paying ahead for my figure, that money is not just sitting there doing nothing, it's chipping away at the overall cost of a figure so that the final payment - even if delayed - is a fraction of the original price. It might not be working for me in quite the same way as it would in my savings account, but it is still serving a purpose which, when it comes to my hobby, I find of equally useful importance.

You are also assuming that to order via a flex system equates to not having to think about the money...just order willy-nilly. What makes you think that planning your budget is no longer involved if you use a flex pay option? Only an idiot would think/do that. You can budget yourself. Good for you. So can I. :slap Of course you still have to plan your budget, in exactly the same way as if you paid all in one go, and in full. A little thought and a calendar can work some real wonders.

To me, in real in-hand terms, that equates to 14 HT's (or other 1:6 figures) in 2 years, and another 20 over the next year and a half.

Using the payment plan far in advance of getting the figure almost feels like getting it for free. :lol
