Dewar should close his twitter feed. He enjoyed playing his little alter-ego game as "thespy" and all the phony drama that came from that. I believe he was referring to a few specific posters he had in mind and that on the whole he enjoys the people who post on forums. But still, I agree. His conduct on twitter seems to have a bit too much drama and not enough professionalism.

not sure about these latest production pics.. seems a tad dark paint wise

Those photos (the 10 and the 4) are both a little dark anyway, I think that it can be seen from the general appearance of the pix that they are dark, but other than that...the sculpts are great! I think that the #10 is just superb, his slightly downturned lip, his raised eyebrow, his shock of hair. Just a great head.

I really am pleased that I got I on this.

EDIT: Found them. Ouch - they look WAY too dark to me. That 10 has an amazing sculpt, and in some respects the paint job brings it to life, but the paint job is too oriental in skin tone. Awesome details though on the eyework and the eyebrows.

I won't comment on the darkness because BC always have such crap lighting in their pics, it's tough to tell what it will really look like in hand. The quality of the paint apps. themselves look quite nice.

I think they look great. I think the lighting is too dark, but I can see they look nice.

It's funny when you put the Hot Toys skintone on something that doesn't need it, all of a sudden it looks too dark. I've been saying this forever (only to myself) but this "Hot Toys standard" is going to be the death of this hobby.

Looks like the Matt Smith skin tone problem all over again. A lot of those came out way too dark as well...

Yeah, and that was exacerbated by some sloppy grey wash. Then again, some came out brilliantly, but there needs to be consistency. However, before they worry about grey wash they ought to worry about the skin tone.

Don't get me wrong, wild horses wouldn't part me from my order for this thing and the skin colour aside it looks amazing - a dream come true. But yeah, they really need to do something.

I showed the photo to my kid - because you can't fool kids - and she instantly said with no prompting 'it's too dark, he looks like he's sunburnt'.

I don't know what the guys from Character Options are like online but i met them twice at retailer trade shows and they were great fun to talk to.

They were all very enthusiastic and very knowledgable. I realy wish them the best for the future and hope every thing works out. Its great to have another 1/6 manufacturer out there.

I bought from them wholesale and i have bought myself both the 10th and the 4th Doctor figures.

This figure is from Big Chief, who are generally great online. Character Options do the mass market range, the 5" Classics and 3.75" figures. They like to insult their customers online.

Er...is that the right way around? I still have branded on my brain that "You people spend all day messing about on the internet and kvetching whilst we do real work. Come and spend a day doing real work and see how you like it" type crud from a while back. Lucky we haven't seen any more of those for a while. Not designed to make customers and influence people.
