With he imminent arrival of 10 and 4, I'm still hoping they announce Hartnell and start taking pre-orders. It's even more perfect with the Adventures in Time & Space drama showing! It'd be cool if they did it on 11/23, too.

There will be blood on the floor if they do something that precludes me from being able to order the Hartnell Doctor online... :lol

There won't be a signature edition anyway, but I'd still go after one. The preorder has to go online or I'm stuffed.
I just hope this event thing doesn't give them ideas.

They could conceivably do an autopen signature for the exclusive plaque, just so that it matched the others (if they intend to do signature editions of all the living Doctors). Though they would have to point out exactly what it is and what that meant in the marketing, so that nobody could claim to be misled, and would probably still need to deal with the estate in order to legally copy Hartnell's signature anyway.

In reality though I honestly don't imagine they'd bother even considering going to such effort. And I don't know how many fans would take to such a faux signature option anyway...

I'll be happy with the figure without extra marketing!
My favorite CO figure set is my BW Hartnell/DALEK pack.

I can't imagine many paying knowingly for a fake signature. LOL. They would either have to do something else, or just have a single edition. It makes the signatures of older doctors, like Baker, more special. This is likely the last chance I will ever have to own something signed by him.

My dad did go onto the site to pay for the figures but said he could not do it as the site was being updated.

Got an email from BC, that 10th Doctor figure and statuette, and apparently there's another, more limited edition of the 10th Doctor figure that you can only pick up at a convention of sorts.

Wonder if the regular edition of the Vinyl figurine comes with that 2nd head but I doubt it.

The regular edition does come with two heads but it's different to the one that comes with the exclusive. Regular edition now comes with regular head and spec head. The exclusive comes with regular head and 3d spec head.

I'd be super-annoyed if they did this with, say, the Night of the Doctor 8th figure or something. But just for a darker shirt it's not too bad for a more limited version. :)

Just a thought, is this our first clear shot of a production figure? I am so glad I moved heaven and earth to pay both figures off, but the next fortnight is going to be very long indeed!!!

So, how do I go about paying the balance for this? I can see it as an open order on the BCS site and it says I owe £159.99, but that doesn't include postage. Besides, there doesn't appear to be an option to pay.

For those that did not get the email, here is just the text, as the picture used is one of the previous posts, by JonWes...

This is nice for folks who missed on the chance to PO originally, but it does mean getting to London, paying to get in, paying for the figure and getting home again. If you are going to that event anyway, graaaaaaavy!

But not so great if it would be a special trip for the figure alone. I have been to some MCM events and whilst they are OK for what they are, I prefer the Showmaster events myself, so a special trip just would not be worth it for me as I would not normally go to an MCM show.

At least, not for a slightly darker shirt and a different tie, and the etched, numbered plaque. I am a big fan of BCS but even I could not justify the expense of a special one-off trip for a figure with minimal differences, that I already have on PO and with (what I feel to me is) more appealing extras.

Tickets for the celebration sold out on the day they went on sale, so this one is only for those lucky few who are going anyway.

Oh and it is not run by MCM but by the Beeb themselves, so overcrowding and packing people in like sardines shouldn't be an issue (one would hope. Not that I managed to get tickets. *gnashing of teeth*.

Considering the hair won't be accurate for his look in "DotD" I'm not terribly fussed. But it still comes off a bit of a **** move.

Just wanted to say Greggo, if the photo of the DOTD Ten is a production figure, then that is a very fine paint job. I know you and me haven't always seen eye to eye, but if I like something I always say so, and I like the look of this a lot. I hope they all come out like that.

I think the DOTD exclusive edition is a lot of fun, even if I'm not really interested in it myself (I prefer the regular shirt and tie). Collectors should note that this may well be the ONLY Day of the Doctor merchandise ever released beyond magazines (CO are saying hey haven't done anything for the fiftieth) making it extra specially desirable. It would be so cool to buy this on the morning of the 50th!

Have to say, as well the paint job the tailoring, the silhouette of the figure looks STELLAR. I will have this before Christmas.

Radio Times did a 'favourite doctor and companion' survey:
https://www.radiotimes.com/news/201...-billie-piper-named-best-doctor-and-companion
From over 20,000 responses 56% voted David Tennant as the best Doctor - over 10,000 people. I hope BC take note and line up more Tennant figures, as I reckon he could be for them what Iron Man or Batman is for HT. Lots of people wanted this figure who didn't get it; a blue suit Tennant would be a sell out (and people like me will buy both); there's even other versions to be done like Regeneration Ten in 9's clothes, or even a Christmas Invasion one in pyjamas and with a sword! They could also resurrect the accessory pack idea with different shirts and ties, or release Headsculpts with different hair for different seasons.

Just can't wait to get this, feel like BC have really turned a corner.

Upon looking longer at the picture of the exclusive the more the likeness of Tennant gets lost. It just doesn't look right.

All the way through the figure's face has been too fat. Coupled with standard 1/6 bulking it means the figure looks a couple of stone overweight.

And I still want it NOW!!!
