For anyone that cares about classic episodes, and plans on watching the 50th anniversary live, I strongly suggest that you stick around and keep watching directly after the special broadcasts... :)

Are they going to announce more missing episodes have been found?!?

I apologise to anyone who watched the train wreck of an aftershow because of my earlier comment. I was told, in confidence, that there was supposed to be a live cross made during the show containing a missing episodes announcement, and that the officially missing Hartnell era story Marco Polo would be available as a download on iTunes on Monday, but that clearly didn't happen for whatever reason.

Would have made for a nice cherry on top for the day, but oh well.

As for the special itself, I thought it was mostly wonderful, despite some nitpicks along the way, and Hurt was fantastic in it.

Oh, by the way...

Did anyone else notice that the Time Bracelet was resting on top of what looked to be a stack of old film cans? Hmmm...

No worries mate, I thought the aftershow party was so bonkers it was brilliant - the 1D thing was classic television.

On this thought, it's a shame that the Beeb Beeb Ceeb have decided to wash their hands of 3D, as the 3D on this was particularly epic and some of it was brilliantly done. The way the painting of "Gallifrey Falls" was shown was just mind blowing. The depth was literally staggering!

If this was the quality of BBC 3D then they have just made a serious and horrid mistake to drop it.

By the way, anyone that hasn't watched The Five(ish) Doctors special really should seek it out and do so. Just so much fun.

I've just finished watching the anniversary special. I thought it was awesome. First episode of Who that I've really enjoyed for a long time, and ranks rather highly in my mind as one of the best ever Who's.
Won't say anything else in case others haven't seen it.

I want to watch it again now, but I'll wait for the BD.

I too expected to hear about the Marco Polo announcement. I was sure that that this was available to download on 25th November from iTunes.

We know there'll be a 2nd 11th Doctor, and while it seems logical they include his current outfit, it's not been confirmed.

I know! I wonder if they were asking the Hartnell head not be photographed? I guess since there was just a head, there won't be a pre-order in November?

i cant believe we havent seen any inhand pics of the exclusive 10 or more pics of BCS booth/display?

Hang on, did I miss something?

We seemed to go from a "I hope they show a Hartnell head", as a fanboy wish...straight to this "Why didn't they show us the Hartnell head?"

Do we know for sure that there actually was a head to be seen? Have BCS actually said anything official about this Hartnell head? Or is it the usual thing - it seems to happen a lot in the 1:6 world - where someone mentions something they'd personally like to see, and it just goes off and gains a life of its own?

There's some photos over on Gallifrey Base, screencaps from a video someone took. Not the best quality, but the Hartnell head looks good as does the painted head of Ten. There's also a lot of photos of the 4th Doctor. Best news is that the paint job on 4 looks great.

Image attached. Not the best but its something.

The 10's seemed to sell pretty quickly on their stall, I had a moment when I nearly pulled the trigger, but I don't really collect anything other than batman so decided against it, they look great in person, as does the Fourth!

Thanks for this Racer. Much, much to early to make any comment at all on Hartnell beyond it looks like a good start. Ten looks great.
