They will be in British Summer Time (BST), yes. That is GMT +1. And I can sense that whole can of worms slowly being re-opened...

From the very moment I read your post, oh dear...:lol

We smashed the hell out of 'Time Zones' and what was and what was not BST, GMT...etc. Seriously people, this is spreading through all the forums. Not just this one, but all the forums that I am a member of, no one reads back through the threads anymore or even (it seems) uses the search function either - surely a device created for the very purpose of finding what you are after!

Not saying that this is you rhboyd particularly just the general attitude that seems to be growing more prevalent these days. Two thousand posts ago (give or take a few) I'd happily and willingly answer all of these, now...I am a lot less happy to possibly encourage the 'I could not be bothered to do a bit of reading' crowd.

Generally, I would agree with this. However, this doesn't always apply to SSF. Firstly, SSF has a wonderfully laid back attitude to moderating, which means we are left to happily digress onto whatever takes our fancy for a page or three. This makes for a great deal of irrelevant reading to find what you are after. Secondly, the search function here sucks. Just completely. Even when you have, by trial and error, learned its little habits and ways, it is still a very blunt tool.

So, yes, if the info was a page or two back, no excuse for not finding it. However, if it was the last thing we talked about before embarking on a five page analysis of button holes, I would be inclined to help out. I might not always actually do it, but I would at least consider it. :rotfl

Oh, don't get me started on the button holes again. I have been discussing it with fellow Sherlockophiles and, for every picture we could find with a single, red button hole, we found another with all red button holes. We also found someone on a Sherlock site who insisted that the coat has always had all red button holes, but in that adamant sort of tone of voice that generally means they didn't think it necessary to check their facts. They just know. So, we concluded that there were two coats, one with a single red button hole and one with all red button holes, perhaps for Series One and Series Two, only we couldn't be bothered to check that out. :rotfl

:rotfl Yes we did have a treatise on buttonhole colour didn't we? :rotfl

Like I said, I didn't mean you, rhboyd, directly, so that's OK. But it is a growing phenomenon sadly.

And boy did we have a PhD theses on time zones! :lol

As for my question, DGT, if your ire was directed at me, I was simply asking if the VAT issue had been figured out yet, or if it will be more of a direct euro to dollar transaction, and what type of shipping costs we can expect. See, I've never bought from overseas before.

I personally have been keeping on top of this thread from the word go, as I love the show. But sometimes I just get tired of scrolling back through pages and pages of people's complaints. It's tiring, and somewhat depressing. (all threads on this forum)

And if it wasn't directed at me, then cheers :)

No mate, your tax/VAT/conversions question was not the centre of my minor irritation :lol We're all good. Taxation and how (and where) it applies is a bugbear for all of us, regardless of where we live...they'll get it from us one way or the other!

As CAp:B says...I just saw a replay of the hilariously enormous debate on what was or was not GMT, BST, GMT+1 being slowly played out once more (Looks for 'shiver of horror' Smilie) :lol

I don't want to open a can of worm but I'm just curious: what's the problem? GMT is GMT right?

Sweep Bady Jeebus!!! Too late :horror

Good luck guys!

Thanks, hope we will be OK. We are after Signature Editions and we'd prefer the numbered pairs if possible, but will be happy with the different numbered pair, Signature versions if we have to.

Very excited about these. It's nice to see action figures based on British characters for a change, there being so many American ones about.

Good luck guys!

Do you get The Graham Norton Show where you are Pau? He had Benedict on again, he'd been on recently to promote Star Trek ITD. He was on again to promote The Fifth Estate. He was on with Harrison Ford and a young British stand-up comedian Jack whitehall.

At one point Harrison Ford said that he was a big fan of Benedict's work and he looked so taken back. He really does seem to be a humble sort of fellow.

Jack Whitehall must have seemed like really small potatoes, next to the most famous Hollywood star in the world, and the hottest upcoming star in the world.
