Big Chief is similar to M8 as their sculpts seem to look like caricatures rather than the real actors.

That Gladiator paint looks pretty bad as does the sculpt. The Bond sculpts are far better.

Honestly, I don't blame them for not being involved here--most companies don't come to this forum to keep us informed for similar reasons. Even Sideshow reps have stopped dropping in like they used to.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think it gets pretty savage in here sometimes. But like ... weird savage.
I'm just surprised how open they were about it.

Definitely can't blame them for not being on the forum. The last few pages have all been "what if", but on the negative side. Sure, it's surprising that there hasn't been any production pics, but at the same time, I haven't seen a bunch of "Man, I'll bet the production figures are even BETTER than the prototypes" positive comments....

And as far as constructive criticism goes, haven't people been clamoring for better paint apps for years to no avail? I don't think they listen to their buyers quite honestly.
Be advised, the folks at BCS do not take criticism well, even when it's respectful and valid. They've always been this way, and it's always someone else's fault. Which is probably why it's a good thing for their business that they stay off the forums, lest they risk alienating current and/or potential customers.
Fact is, many collectors have had issues with them over the years, which in many cases they made far more unpleasant, drawn out and difficult to get rectified than they ever needed to be, even when the problem was clearly on their end and their responsibility to correct. Though to be fair, I haven't heard nearly as many customer service related complaints over the past year or so, so perhaps they have gotten better in that regard. Of course they also haven't actually released much over the last year or so either...
Look, I hope they have their paint and body and tailoring issues, all of which can pop up and randomly plague them from one figure to the next, are truly sorted out, after years and years of promising that the were doing so. And I hope they've turned a corner and go from strength to strength from here on out, because I'm waiting on quite a few different figures from them, and I want the wait to be worth it for all collectors of the licenses that they have, many of which are licenses that a lot of people really love, and deserve to be done justice to. But they make promises after every issue or problem that comes along, blame the factory, and claim they'll have it fixed for the next release, and as such their releases have remained thoroughly inconsistent so far, and I've been there since the start of their Doctor Who line, so I'm talking from a place of plenty of experience with these guys.
With BCS so far you roll the dice and you take your chances. Here's hoping the Bond line is one of their winners.

BCS should not feel singled out though, Sideshow get called out when they mess up and so do HT. Its not like anyone is picking on BCS for no reason.
