I don't think it's Disney kids as much as it's childhood actors in general. Many of them don't want to be typecast as the role they held as children. Many start acting up in their mid teens and once they are legal really put it out there so they appear to be edgy. Once they get a taste of fame many of them do just about anything to stay in the spotlight.

Hell it happens to adult celebrities. Take Lady GaGa. Look for her Youtube videos before she hit it big. She was just as talented but she looked "normal". It wasn't until she took on the persona of GaGa that she hit it big.

Their person of the year isn't always a great person, just one that gets a lot of attention or is in the news a lot.

Well, I was just noticing it in the Disney kids since Miley came from that group. Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Miley. There are others to that didn't get as far because of their antics.
