Slightly off topic:

Was at a convention this weekend and I saw a few guys in really good Booker costumes. I kept having the urge to scream "Hey Booker, catch!" and throw a quarter at them. Didn't want to hurt anyone though. :p

Looks good. Wish we had gotten some Vigor bottles.

I know I am really late to this party. But anyone care to give a quick review to gamer who missed this one? I played the original Bioshock. I liked, not loved it. I skipped Bioshock 2 because I didn't see why that story needed a sequel. I have heard great things about this one, and i am curious about picking it up and adding it to my backlog.

I too Had this in my backlog for awhile, and when I finished it, regretted not playing this game sooner.... I too was not to impressd with Bioshock, and to be honest the gameplay is kinda more of the same, some slight differnet things like the skyhook, but still felt the same. Having Elizabeth follwoing you didn really add much neither, since she cant really get hurt, and the things she spots out for you, you probably find them anyway.

However the BIG payoff for me was the story ending! Man it really got me by surprise and I really love all the meanings in it. This has to be experienced if nobody has spoiled it for you yet.

Yup tomorrow, can't wait! :rock

Awesome....yeah, its gonna rock

Same here; loved the look and style of Bioshock, but it took me 5 years to beat it. Skipped part 2 completely.
Here is my quicky review of Infinite: Its fantastic

I think the game with Season Pass is on Steam now for $25-ish. I'd definitely recommend putting it in your library. As most have said, the gameplay is nothing to write home about. There's nothing 'bad' about it, but nothing revolutionary. What you're really paying for is the experience, as far as the story and atmosphere goes. It's really engrossing.

There's really no "cons" to the game. Everything about is good, nothing ever gets frustrating, or anything like that. It's just the right amount of challenge, thought YMMV on that, but you can always crank up the difficulty.

Story was ok. I just get the feeling they tried too hard to tie Infinite in with Bioshock. Going to do one more playthrough in 1998 mode to finish off the last few achievements and then put the Bioshock series to bed. RIP: Irrational Games

But there are more Bioshock games in the works...I can tell you they will be at least as good as Bioshock 2...

Argh, I am still bummed Irrational is done......jezus....!!!

Figure looks good, might get one. Just cant get over I missed out on Big daddy and ppl want a killing for him now

I got a BD - paid maybe $10 over retail when BBTS re-stocked him a few years ago, and love him. But honestly, despite Bioshock being one of my top (probably 3) gaming franchises ever, that's really all I want.

The motorized presidents are cool looking, but I didn't feel like spending the MSRP + shipping for that scale figure.

I'm not a huge fan of how BaS2 ended.

I prefer a happier ending, but I'm not sure it would've made sense storywise.

Unfortunately, I was somewhat ambivalent about the ending. Maybe it was just melancholy about the whole situation, but I didn't feel anything at the end, I felt devoid of emotion. Comparatively, with Infinite's ending it was full of emotion, like I was on an emotional roller coaster. I think maybe I was in a rush to the end, and I did not properly take the time to soak in the environment. I've been reading other people's comments about how
Elizabeth killed Booker, her father, and the only person that really cared about her, and then ended up dying alone
and all this deep stuff that I didn't "get" while I was playing the game.

WTF YOU BEAT IT IN CRAZY MODE... I wish I could watch you play!

It's not really that hard, you just don't get to use the pistol and the shotgun. Plus I did die a few times. It also makes it easier having already played through it on normal and knowing the lay of the land and not having to worry about side missions, etc.

I agree with this, well said.
