Brother, we should should try as hard. I am going to try to use woods as a proper example for what I should do - what all of us should really do - speak you mind to those that matter and might listen. I am going to attempt to push the issue like he does. For real! Of couse, I have been drinking. I may just feel a little soapboxy. :duff

I will try to be better myself. Back in the day I did this all the time just gotten away from it.

You're forgetting about the maquette. I have contacted SS specifically concerning this issue asking them to consider the 'ultimate pose' for a ML maquette and they have mentioned this themselves in two separate Q&A responses. If that is the pose you want as well you can do one of two things....sit back, do nothing, and hope for the best -OR- contact them directly via their product suggestion form and make your request. :wink1:

I'm not collecting the maquettes :monkey2...and I have tried ask sideshow and product suggestion pages and leaving comments which are mostly deleted at the product launch pages for a few pieces. The ML pose was one.
Pretty much once there is a reveal that is it. Done. Damned if you like it or not :gah: give or take tweeks.

It would be nice if we got some kind of a Work-In-Progress report :yess:.
That way if we (the collectors) had suggestions, it would not be too late for SS to really consider them.
As it stands I think the product is far too far along the production process for our comments to be implemented. :(

There's nothing stopping you from plopping one of the metal Orc helms down on the head of your choice, worse comes to worst. You might have to dremel off the tips of the ears or the ponytail, but other than that, it would be simple enough to do.

I don't know which helms the Mordor Orcs used, but the Orc Legion helm, the Muzzle Cage helm, the Orc Hide helm, the Orc Trapjaw helm, the Orc Iron Cap helm and the Orc Squinter helm could all potentially work.

I'm not sure what to say. I use the Ask Sideshow and Prod. Suggestion methods all the time and find them to be very effective. You could also try contacting SS's CS dept. directly as you are pretty well guaranteed to get some kind of response. As for leaving comments, I find that to be a waste of time and I rarely ever do so anymore. Here's an example of one I tried to leave last week that didn't make it through SS's moderation process :lol :

"I love, and will be ordering the Mordor Orc PF on Thurs. so this in not a dealbreaker for me, but I am curious as to why the excl. ES has gone from 350 to 500".

Unfortunately, thats true. Even when SS reveals those 'in progress' prod. videos it's usually months after the sculpt has already been completed.

Drunk or not, you are a very wise man Barbarian. :lecture :lol

Last night, I sent in a Product Suggestion Form suggesting comiquettes of a specific character-group from a particular license. I received a response today stating that I should go through Q&A instead. I replied that I wasn't asking a question but making a product suggestion (hence the specific form). So, apparently some people at SS don't know the difference between a question ("When will CQs for X be produced?") and a suggestion ("It would be great to see SS produce CQs for X.")

That's strange  Maybe someone at SS was having a bad day :dunno Personally, I prefer the Prod. Suggestion form as you always seem to get a response, and in a timely fashion. With the Q&A's you never know when they're going to be read, and there's no guarantee you'll ever get a response.

Maybe your suggestion has already been talked about in the Q & As.

just got my pre-order in for the exclusive :yess: man this orc looks awesome!!! :orc

I wonder what is next for the premium format line now...this is probably the last PF of 2011 I would guess. What releases are next for the PF line you fellow collectors think? would love a Boromir and a Gimli PF  along with any of the 3 remaining hobbits. I bet a Suraman PF is next up for a Jan 2012 release :impatient: ahh so many great characters to be captured in PF form...and such a long time to wait for them :monkey2

You would be incorrect. The much anticipated Ringwraith on Steed PF is up next, most likely it'll debut at SDCC 2011. And yes, Saruman is scheduled for 2012, though we don't know when. As for the Hobbits, SS finally confirmed last month they will eventually produce Sam, Merry, and Pippin. :)

wow Ringwraith on Steed PF sound epic...that must be one massive piece!!! looks like a release of any of the remaining fellowship members is a long long way down the road :gah:

but i will wait :wink1:

Epic, massive, expensive....and 'must-have'. :) And yes, at an aver. of 2 PF's/year it'll be a long time before SS finally completes the fellowship.
:(

Yes but they will be something worth waiting for, I should think.

If fact, the wait is part of the excitement don't you think. :wink1:

At lest we'll have the RWOS PF to keep us in amazement till they arrive. :lol

Man!...I sure hope finances allow me to get that baby.

I'm praying they do a 10-payment flexpay option, like with the Optimus Prime maquette. Otherwise, the RWOS will be the first LOTR PF I simply cannot buy.
