Yeah, it's one of the thousands that fought at Minas Tirith, just freeze the dvd all the time until you see him
I was gonna mention, we've had an Isengard Uruk-Hai (need a swordsman too, but i'll take that as a maquette!), we may as well have a Mordor Uruk too, and why not Shagrat! But then i'd want maquettes of him and Gorbag instead!

I'm surprised this one hasn't been done yet or previewed in some way. I mean its pretty unique because of the skull and all.

Is the moria orc worth getting I thought I heard people saying out of all the lord of the rings pfs this was the leased desired peice.

I really like it. Some don't like the bright red clothing that some of them have. I don't think mine's that bright.

They didn't weather his tunic much, so it looks bright and new instead of dingy and old like it was in the pre-production pics.
Other than that, it's one of the best in the line IMO.

Fortunately though, Markus Hausberg also produced a 1/4 scale Skully several years ago. I'd love to show pic's of mine, but 2 1/2 years after I paid someone to paint mine [Bernd Smolinski of Classic Monsters], not only do I not have mine yet, he can't even tell me whether or not he ever shipped it....along with another 1/2 dozen custom projects of mine.

I'm pretty sure that 'Weta' one was a fan-made one they just put with their own. They also have the Faramir custom statue in their display cases.

The Moria Orc isn't even in the bottom three. Most people regard GTW or Galadriel as the least desireable, with Frodo rounding out the bottom three. The MO is a great statue, but I think the before and after pic's below should give you an indication as to why alot of us had issue's with the final product.
I believe that's what they call an understatement. SS replaced the leather of the prototype with pleather, they went with a completely different colour, and not only didn't they weather it much...they didn't weather it at all.
I do agree however, sculpt-wise the MO is as good as it gets and the excl. is one of the best ever seen in the LOTR PF line.

I remember well the hub-bub about that red and these pics really bring back the memories. So given how awful that red is I suppose many tried to mod the piece - so how easy is it to weather this material?

The prototype looked like they used leatherette for the clothing, whereas the one that was released used just some read fabric. Someone in the main thread for this posted their weathering, you might try looking for it.
